Local Family Gets Closure in Kidnapping Case‎

..... Tabitha Cardenas, Juliani's mother, says Saturday brought relief.

"I feel like it's over. Everybody can relax now," said Cardenas.

She no longer has to worry if her ex-boyfriend, Jose Rodriguez, is coming back to hurt her and their unborn child.

"It was really creepy. Sometimes i would feel him watching me. Now hopefully I can stop feeling that way," said Cardenas.

Mother Of Slain 4-Year Old Juliani Is Giving Birth To A Girl Today‎

Tabitha Cardenas says she expects to have her baby today.

Cardenas took a pill that will induce labor, and Cardenas told KCRA reporter Rich Ibarra that her son Juliani came quickly and she expects this baby will do the same.

Juliani Cardenas, 4, died after being kidnapped by Cardenas' boyfriend, Jose Rodriguez, who killed himself and Juliani after driving his car into a canal according to the Stanislaus Sheriff Department.

Rodriguez is also the father of Cardenas' unborn daughter, who will be named Jolyssa Rhianna.

Patterson mother who just lost son gives birth to girl‎

Exactly two weeks after a public memorial for her drowned 4-year-old son, a Patterson mom greeted a healthy baby girl into the world.

Tabitha Cardenas, whose son Juliani is thought by authorities to have been kidnapped from his grandmother's arms and later died as a result of a suspected murder-suicide, gave birth Friday to a 6-pound, 12-ounce, 19-inch baby girl at a Modesto hospital.

"Healthy, alert, beautiful," texted family friend and Patterson City Councilwoman Annette Smith minutes after Jolyssa Rhianna Cardenas was born about 11:30 a.m. "All are doing well. Perfecto!"

Tests confirm body found in canal was Patterson kidnapper‎

The body of a man found floating in the Delta Mendota Canal south of Patterson last month has been confirmed as that of kidnapping suspect Jose Esteban Rodriguez, according to the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department.

Skin from the palm of Rodriguez's left hand was taken during an autopsy Feb. 16 and sent to the Department of Justice for fingerprinting analysis. The skin was compared to finger and palm print records from Rodriguez's previous arrests.

The confirmation puts to rest a nearly six-week investigation that started Jan. 18 when Rodriguez ripped 4-year-old Juliani Cardenas out of his grandmother's arms at their Patterson home.
