Billie Dunn won't speak at rally after pornographic images discovered‎

Billie Dunn will not be appearing at an upcoming event aimed at putting an end to human trafficking after the news that a computer memory stick with images depicting child pornography was found in her house.

The memory stick was found as the result of search warrants being carried out at Dunn's home in Colorado City, following the disappearance of her 13-year-old daughter Hailey Dunn.

Billie and her estranged husband, Clint Dunn, originally were asked to appear together at a Traffick911 rally in Mansfield on Sunday. Traffick911 is an organization aimed at stopping the buying and selling of American children into sexual slavery.

"Traffick911 is deeply saddened by this revelation," Deena Graves, executive director of Traffick911, said in a statement Friday. "Any child in a pornographic image is a trafficked child and our organization is driven to stop the trafficking of children in any form."

Grand Jury To Decide On Arrests Of Shawn Adkins Or Billie Dunn‎

Authorities tell us it will be up to a grand jury whether Shawn Adkins or Billie Dunn will be arrested for the child pornography found in Billie and Shawn's bedroom.

Billie is the mother of missing teen Hailey Dunn, who was last seen nearly 2 months ago.

KTXS reported Friday, that a computer memory stick with pictures including some of child pornography, was taken by officials from Billie's home.

Shawn Adkins, Billie's boyfriend, lived there at the time.

They also collected evidence of porn from Shawn Adkins mother's home in Big Spring.

KTXS knocked on Billie's door Saturday but no one answered. We also called her cell phone, again no one picked up.

Searchers Keep Focus On Hailey, After Pornography Found At House‎

Volunteers from the search party said though it is disheartening to think child porn was found at the home, their main focus is to bring Hailey Dunn home safe.

“We just need to find Hailey. It doesn’t matter. We need to find her," Stephanie Boyd, search party coordinator, urged.

Saturday morning more than a dozen searchers from across the Big Country were out looking for the missing 13-year-old girl.

“I want to thank all the searchers that have been out here to help us,” Boyd said. “It really means a lot to me. All of them will have a special place in my heart for them to take off time from work or take off time from their kids and all that to come help us.

Special Report: Hailey Dunn Case Reaches Two-Month Milestone‎

Special report: Coming Monday on KTXS, how Colorado City and the Colorado Middle School have weathered the storm since Hailey Dunn disappeared two months ago.

The case of missing Colorado City teenager Hailey Dunn reached a grim milestone Sunday: It's now been two months since Hailey was last seen on Dec. 27.

After two months, the level of activity in the case has slowed considerably: An early January frenzy has been reduced to the steady pace of a long-term investigation.

Officials now acknowledge that finding Hailey could take many more months – even years.

Pete Kampfer, city manager of Colorado City and a former FBI agent himself, said that of all the cases he has worked on – and other investigators agreed with him – this case “is the one that has baffled us the most.”

A lot of state and federal resources have been poured into the case. In early January, when the case was driven by hot leads daily, 12 different law enforcement and child protective service agencies were involved locally on the ground, including the FBI and the Texas Rangers.

Missing teen's father urges faster action at anti-trafficking rally‎

The father of a teenager reported missing Dec. 28 said he will never look at another missing child depicted on a poster in a grocery store in the same way.

Hailey Dunn's father, Clinton Dunn, made the 225-mile trip east to Mansfield from Colorado City to tell supporters of an anti-human-trafficking group that authorities wasted a week while they investigated his daughter's disappearance as if she had run away.

Traffick911 held the anti-trafficking rally Sunday after postponing an event the day before Super Bowl XLV.

Why No Arrests After Child Porn Was Found In Dunn Residence? Authorities Respond

Many are asking where are the charges or arrests to reflect the child pornography found in the home of missing teen Hailey Dunn......

......Mitchell County Sheriff Patrick Toombs met with KTXS today to explain why no arrests have been made in both cases.

"You have more than one person in the home in each case," Sheriff Toombs said, "So you have to make sure and verify who is going to be the one responsible."

Sheriff Toombs says this will be decided by a grand jury and for February the grand jury met the 17th more than a week before the child pornography was brought to light last Friday.

Hailey Dunn's Father: 'I'm The Voice For My Daughter'‎

Clint Dunn, father of missing Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn, says the last two months have been a nightmare.

He told KTXS News that having a child missing is the scariest situation a person could possibly imagine.

Hailey Dunn, a 13-year-old eighth-grader, hasn't been seen since Dec. 27, and Clint Dunn misses her.

“I just miss it all,” he said. “I miss her face. There’s no one particular thing; I miss her companionship.”

The ordeal, he said, has also made him stronger, and he has reason to be strong – for his daughter.

“I realize I’m the voice for my daughter,” he said.

Military Joins in Hailey Dunn Search Effort Saturday

All may be quiet in the search for Hailey Dunn but that’s not stopping a group of Texas servicemen and women from joining the effort.

Now some assistance from the military is helping to keep hope alive.

It's been about nine weeks since Hailey Dunn went missing, and while some have given up, one group refuses to give in.

The small group of Colorado City citizens wearing brightly colored lime green t-shirts has been searching every weekend.

"Usually every Thursday I start getting kind of nervous and excited about the next day to find out how many people we're going to have show up, if she's going to be brought home. It's really an emotional roller coaster", says search coordinator, Kristy Lloyd.

This week Lloyd got a surprising phone call from Ft. Hood, learning that a group of servicemen will be coming to help.

"They are coming on a volunteer basis only. They were not asked to come up here, they were not commanded to come up here", says Lloyd.

There is now audio from an internet interview with the only person of interest in the case of missing teen Hailey Dunn, Shawn Adkins.

'The Blog Talk' an internet radio show aired Thursday night

Things started off well, but quickly turned rocky when Shawn was asked about a comment he allegedly made to Hailey's grandmother Connie.

Radio Host: Connie Jones stated something to us that I felt needed to address with you tonight: she stated to me that you had talked to her and said that you could kill somebody and hide the body and no one would ever be able to find the body.

Shawn Adkins: The only thing I gotta say about that it's a flat out lie. I've never told Connie Jones anything like that.

Radio Host: You've never said that to anybody? Hello?

Shawn Adkins: (silence, sound of phone hanging up)

The interview included a wide array of topics, with questions ranging from family issues, to how Adkins felt about child pornography and beastiality, two things found on computers at both Billie Dunn's home and the home of Shawn Adkin's mother in Big Spring.

Shawn Adkin's Cousin Says Adkins Did Nothing To Hailey Dunn‎

The cousin of Shawn Adkins, the only named suspect in the case of missing Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn, spoke out Tuesday declaring Adkins' innocence.

Over the phone, Corey Norwood told KTXS, "If the justice system works and cops do what they're supposed to and find her, then he'll be fine because I know he didn't do it. They just need to find her."

Hailey Dunn has been missing since Dec. 27.

Adkins is the only suspect named by law enforcement; however, authorities tell us they do have other persons of interest.

Norwood also said Tuesday he's upset that videos and pictures, which he says he made for school, have been aired both on the web and by local and national media.

The videos show him and Shawn in masks and with weapons.

Fort Hood Soliders Share Connection To Hailey Dunn Case‎

Fort Hood soldiers who joined the search for missing Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn had a personal connection to the case.

The wife of one of the nearly 30 volunteers who came out last weekend grew up in Colorado City.

She told KTXS Thursday that the soldiers were able to cover a lot of ground during their search.

"They're all athletic so we were able to search for a long time without taking as many breaks," said Misty Moody. "A few of them actually have quite a few years of not just military training, but fire fighter, police force, that kind of training. So they were experienced in doing searches."

'Hailey's Hope': Bring Them Home honors missing Texas teen Hailey Dunn‎

A beautiful white horse with blue eyes has recently been named "Hailey's Hope" by Rachel Englehart, founder and CEO of Bring Them Home in honor of missing Texas teen, Hailey Dunn.

Rachel Englehart is also the co-host of the Bring Them Home Now online radio show. Rachel rescues horses and then trains them to help search for missing people.

Rachel said she names her horses after missing children. When she was recently out in her pasture she looked into the eyes of one of her newest horses that had not yet been named.

The horse's eyes were blue, like Hailey's, so she named the horse "Haliey's Hope."

Hailey Dunn: Analysis of Shawn Adkins' statement about killing someone‎

Shawn Adkins, the boyfriend of missing Texas teen Hailey Dunn’s mother, Billie Dunn, and one of the only two suspects in Hailey’s disappearance, was asked during an online radio talk show if he’d ever said he could kill someone and that no one would ever find the body.

Examiner.com was informed Saturday by hosts of the Bring Them Home Now online radio show that Billie Dunn is now also a person of interest in Hailey’s disappearance.

After being asked the question, Adkins gave a brief response and the call went dead. Try as they may, the hosts of the show were unable to get him back on the line.

Hailey Dunn latest: Authorities scale down search for missing Texas teen

On Tuesday, authorities announced that searches for missing Colorado City, Texas teenager, Hailey Dunn, would be scaled back and be done as needed.

The city manager of Colorado City, Pete Kampfer, said that law enforcement will be conducting searches on a “need-be basis.” For instance, future efforts to find Hailey will be done if crews to do the job are available and there is a particular area that needs to be scoured.

This, however, has not precluded volunteer groups from continuing their search for the girl.

The search for Hailey Dunn continues — and has not gone cold — even though the Colorado City teen has been missing almost three months, a local official said.

City Manager Pete Kampfer, the spokesman for the investigation, said the search for the 13-year-old middle school student, who was reported missing Dec. 28, has not stalled and that investigators continue to follow up on any leads.

"They work the case, go out and search, and write reports on what they did or did not find,' Kampfer said. "It is all part of the progression of the case for law enforcement."

Hailey Dunn latest: Mother of missing Texas teen detained by law enforcement#

Billie Dunn, the mother of missing Colorado City, Texas teen, Hailey Dunn, was detained by law enforcement Thursday night, according to one city official.

The city manager of Colorado City, Pete Kampfer, told press that Billie was taken into custody by Mitchell County authorities and is being questioned, but did not confirm whether she’d been arrested.

He noted she is likely being questioned at the request of the office of the local district attorney.

Mother of missing Colorado City teen admits she lied to officials

The mother of missing Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn admits she lied to officials when they came to her home looking for her boyfriend, Shawn Adkins. She was taken into custody on Thursday and bonded out Friday afternoon.

KCBD spoke with Colorado City's city manager and police spokesman Pete Kampfer Thursday evening. He tells us that a representative from the Mitchell County District Attorney's Office went to Dunn's home and took her mother, Billie Dunn, to the sheriff's office.

The Mitchell County Sheriff's office says the District Attorney's office went to Dunn's home to serve a warrant out of Howard County on Shawn Adkins. One of the warrants was for the "body" of Adkins, meaning he was to surrender DNA. At the time of Hailey's disappearance, Adkins was Billie's live-in boyfriend and the last person to see Hailey. He is also the only suspect named in Hailey's disappearance.

Mitchell County Sheriff's office says that when authorities went to Dunn's home, Billie lied and said Adkins was not there. Authorities then took her to the Mitchell County Jail where she was reportedly being questioned.

"I told them he wasn't here, but I let them in to go search the house," Dunn said.

When we asked Billie Dunn why she lied to officials, she responded, "I'd rather not get into that."

Authorities said Adkins was searched but not arrested. They said they can't say what they were looking for, but it could answer many questions
