It's been eight months since teenager Hailey Dunn went missing in Colorado City and there's still no sign of her. Now residents are remembering another date, Hailey's 14th birthday.

It's supposed to be a day of celebration but instead August 28th is a solemn reminder that Hailey Dunn is still missing.

On Saturday, family and friends held a vigil to mark eight months since she vanished but also to remember Hailey's14th birthday.

Porn in Dunn case not seen by grand jury‎
Authorities still analyzing found images

The case involving the discovery of nearly 109,000 pornographic images on devices seized during the search for missing Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn has not been presented to a grand jury, and law enforcement officials say they're not sure when it will be.

Mitchell County Sheriff Patrick Toombs said Tuesday that J. Bruce Flournoy, a deputy with the Garza County Sheriff's Office, is still analyzing the data, including images of child pornography and bestiality, on the seized devices. Toombs said that during the most recent meeting of the investigation task force, Flournoy did not indicate how much longer his analysis would take.

Toombs said officials also are waiting for results from several devices being analyzed by the FBI in Dallas.

"They'll let us know when they're done," Toombs said.

Because of the statute of limitations on child pornography offenses, state prosecutors have up to three years from the date of the alleged incident to file charges. That limit goes up to five years for federal prosecutors.

Cheerleaders Holding on to Hope for Missing Colorado City Teen‎

It was late December of last year when Hailey Dunn suddenly went missing from her Colorado City home. Search parties were called off this July, and the case has appeared to have gone cold. However, a group of Coahoma teens are planning to change that.

"I don't know how it happened. It doesn't seem real," Cheerleader, Shea Campbell, said. For her, the disappearance of Hailey is still very hard to deal with.

"We never thought anything like that would happen. This is surreal. [It's strange] for something like this to happen in such a small place and such a place where everybody knows everybody. We thought we could trust everybody," Campbell said.

Fellow cheerleader Minnie Goodblanket feels the same way. She and Hailey are only three years apart. "It's the same small town as, like, Coahoma and you wouldn't ever think that something would happen like that so it was eye opening for everybody," Goodblanket said.

Neither one knew her personally, but that doesn't matter to them.

"It's something that's so big and [people are] are already start to forget about it when it has not already been a year yet," Campbell said.

It's been more than nine months since the teen went missing and the girls fear the community has stopped caring. They're bringing the hope back. The Coahoma High School cheerleaders are dedicating Friday night's football game to Hailey.

Missing Teen Hailey Dunn Added To FBI's Missing Persons List

Missing Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn has been added to the FBI's Missing Persons list.
According to the FBI website, Dunn's case is listed as a kidnapping and a $15,000 reward is offered for any information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the crime.
Hailey has been missing since she was last seen near her home in Colorado City on December 27th.
Hailey's mother's live-in boyfriend, Shawn Adkins, remains the only named suspect in the case.‎

Hailey Dunn Listed as Kidnapped by FBI ‎

Missing Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn has been added to the FBI's missing person's list.

For the first time Dunn's case is now listed as a kidnapping.

The FBI is offering a reward of $15,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible.

Colorado City law enforcement also have a $15,000 reward for information leading to her whereabouts, bringing the total now to $30,000 in reward money.

Sheriff: Hailey Dunn Not Kidnapped‎

The FBI may have made a mistake when it comes to missing Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn. Recently, the FBI put the 14-year-old on their website and listed her under kidnapped.

Newswest9 spoke to the Mitchell County Sheriff who told us it was a mistake. Hailey Dunn should not have been listed under kidnappings.

Instead she should've been under "missing person." The sheriff's office said the FBI will go back and fix the mistake.

Dunn case not listed as kidnapping after all‎

According to KTXS television in Abilene, the FBI mis-classified Hailey Dunn as kidnapped earlier this month.

Hailey, who was 13 at the time, went missing from Colorado City in the last week of December 2010. Her mother's former boyfriend has been listed by officials as a person of interest.

According to KTXS, Colorado City police did initially think that Hailey had been kidnapped but after the first week of investigation there was not enough evidence to support classifying the case as a kidnapping. So, she has been listed as a "missing person" by police since early January, and the FBI records are being corrected.

Hailey Dunn's grandmother: not giving up hope after 11 months
‎
Eleven months ago Sunday, Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn went missing. Since then, numerous searches turned up very few leads in the case.

Her family, including Hailey's grandmother, Connie Jones, is still desperate for her return.

Jones says Hailey showed no signs of wanting to run away. Billboards are stationed for miles around Colorado City, and fliers have been put up from Lubbock to Mexico in an effort to bring the teen home safely.

Hailey's grandmother says the holidays have been tough without Hailey, but she hasn't given up hope.

On Saturday they were serving food and accepting donations to fund more searches.

The Colorado Middle School student was reported missing by her mother, Billie Jean Dunn, on Dec. 28, 2010, and is said to have been last seen the day before.

Vigil Held for Missing Colorado City Teen

‎Hailey Dunn, now 14-years-old went missing last December 27th. This Saturday doesn't mark the exact one year anniversary of her disappearance, but friends and family found that meeting up about two weeks early meant more people could show up to the vigil. They were probably right. When NewsWest 9 showed up, we saw dozens of folks coming together and hoping for Hailey's return.

Human remains found in hunt for missing cheerleader Hailey Dunn, 13, who disappeared one year ago

Authorities in Texas have found human remains that could belong to Hailey Dunn, the 13-year-old cheerleader who disappeared December 27, 2010.

The bones were found outside Big Spring, less than a mile from the parental home of her mother's boyfriend.

Shawn Adkins is the only named person of interest in the girl's disappearance and he has failed or walked out of three separate police lie detector tests.

However, authorities are not saying yet whether the remains, which were discovered in a pasture near McMahon Wrinkle Airpark, belong to Dunn.

Dunn's mother,
Billie Dunn, 33, moved from Colorado City, Texas, where her daughter disappeared, to Austin with her boyfriend Shawn Adkins.

However, ABC News reports the pair since broke up .who remains a person of interest in the disappearance of Hailey Dunn.
Evidence from Adkins' cell phone and a computer show he was at his mother's house, near where the remains were found, the morning that Hailey disappeared.

Sources say body found in Big Spring is likely Hailey Dunn

A mummified and partially exposed human skeleton found near the Big Spring airport is believed to be missing 13-year-old Colorado City girl Hailey Dunn. Hailey was reported missing in December 2010.

Sources close to the investigation say the hair color and height of the remains match Hailey's description. We're told evidence found at the scene could link it to Hailey as well.

Desert Tanks employee Heath Acrey says his employees found the remains around 2:30 Tuesday afternoon on the 2500 block of Apron Drive. Workers placed a fuel tank over the remains to preserve the body until the scene was secured. The area is mainly concrete, dirt and grass.

About 30 Dallas FBI agents and Austin DPS officers arrived around 9:15 Wednesday morning to examine the evidence.

Sgt. Tony Everett with the Big Spring Police Department says the race, age and gender of the remains have not been determined.

It's Not Hailey Dunn – Gender Of Human Remains Found In Big Spring Is Male

It has been determined the remains found in Big Spring Tuesday are not Hailey Dunn's. The remains are of a male victim, according to Big Spring police.

Det. George Oliver of the Big Spring Police Department released a statement Friday that an examination of the remains found in Big Spring Tuesday revealed that the remains were of a male.

He said that nothing else has been determined. He said a news release will be put out after the completion of the autopsy and the preliminary report is released from the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office.

The announcement was stunning information for many who speculated this week that the remains were that of missing Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn.

Dunn, then an eighth-grader at Colorado Middle School in Colorado City, has been missing since Dec. 27, 2010. Her disappearance sparked a massive search by law enforcement and by hundreds of volunteers over the next few months searching through rugged areas in Mitchell and Scurry counties and surrounding areas.

She has never been found, and there have been no arrests in connection to her disappearance.

Remains ID'd as 13-year-old Hailey Dunn, Texas cheerleader missing since 2010

The remains of a 13-year-old Texas cheerleader Hailey Dunn have been found more than two years after she was reported missing.

An unidentified person contacted authorities after finding the remains near Lake J.B. Thomas in Scurry County on March 16, more than two years after Dunn's mother reported her daughter missing.

The girl's disappearance and the cause of her death remain under investigation, Scurry County Sheriff Trey Wilson said at a news conference Friday. The Scurry County District Attorney's Office received written confirmation of the identity of the remains on Friday, he said.

Texas Rangers informed the girl's mother, Billie Jean Dunn, on Friday afternoon at her Austin home, said her attorney, John Young. Dunn will be driving to West Texas to arrange her daughter's funeral, he said.

The body was found about 20 miles northwest of the girl's hometown of Colorado City. The girl had been the subject of months of intensive searches in and around Colorado City and surrounding fields and landfills after her mother reported her missing on Dec. 28, 2010. More than 100 billboards featuring her picture and information about the case were set up along interstates in Texas and other states.

Shawn Adkins, who was Billie Dunn's boyfriend when Hailey went missing, has said the girl told him on Dec. 27, 2010, that she was going to her father's home nearby and then on to spend the night at a friend's home. She did neither.

Authorities had named Adkins as a person of interest in the girl's disappearance, but he has not been charged. Authorities later accused the girl's mother of lying about the whereabouts of Adkins, who was found at her home. Billie Dunn pleaded no contest in June 2011 to making a false report to law enforcement and received a suspended 90-day jail term with probation.

The mother and Adkins have denied involvement in Hailey's disappearance. Billie Dunn broke off her relationship with Adkins last year, Young said.

Freda Radcliff, who led Hailey's Angels, an organization dedicated to finding the girl, attended Friday's news conference.

"We've been searching for her for two years, and it's like losing a child of your own. I hate it. I wish we could have brought her back," Radcliff said.

Hailey's paternal grandmother, Connie Jones, said that "At least now we can get some closure."
