Kyron Horman Update: Witness Saw Stepmother Day 7-Year-Old Vanished‎

A woman who spoke with Kyron Horman's stepmother the day the 7-year-old disappeared shared her story with the Multnomah County grand jury last week, calling part of the encounter "odd."

Kyron vanished June 4 following a science fair at Skyline Elementary School.

That same day, between 9:30 and 10 a.m., Andrea Leckey ran into his stepmother, Terri Horman, at a Fred Meyer Department store in Beaverton, west of Portland. Lecky said it was the longest encounter they ever had.

During the conversation, Leckey said Terri mentioned just coming from the science fair at Skyline School, even showing her a picture of Kyron.

"The only thing that I think was significant about that time is that she showed me a picture of Kyron next to his project," said Leckey according to CBS affiliate KOIN. "I think the thing that seems odd about it perhaps is that we were just passing each other by and in a few seconds, with her daughter being sick in her arms, made a point to show me the picture."

Spicher's People interview contradicts sources‎

DeDe Spicher, a close friend of Terri Horman, defended Horman in a People magazine interview but there was one glaring contradiction from what sources have told the news media.

The contradiction goes to the heart of what Spicher was doing the morning Kyron Horman vanished. Multiple sources have said Spicher and Terri Horman could not account for about an hour and a half the day Kyron disappeared. And The Oregonian reported Spicher abruptly left a nursery where she was working that morning.

But according to People magazine reporter Elaine Aradillas, Spicer told her: “I never left the property that day.”

School to start without Kyron‎

The school where Kyron Horman disappeared more than two months ago, is preparing to start classes without the 7-year-old.
"Our goal [at Skyline elementary] is to make sure that first day at school is as normal a first day as we can make it," says Matt Shelby with the Portland Public School district.

But he tells KIRO FM that as long as Kyron remains missing, nothing will be completely normal.

....In the profile, Kaine Homran states that this past year Terri became increasingly concerned with Kyron's performance at school. Terri asked for reports on Kyron's behavior every day, and if the report wasn't stellar, he was grounded to his room for the night.

Kaine said he felt like Kyron had no room for error in Terri's eyes and says the couple frequently argued about disciplining the child.

Kyron's mother, Desiree Young, says she received several E-mails at the same time, pepperd with complaints about the teacher, Kyron, and even Kaine.
