Ruth and Jose: Police search grandparents’ finca once more
Police have begun a fresh search for the two siblings who disappeared from a Cordoba park on October 8.
The hunt is once more concentrating on their grandparents’ finca in Las Quemadillas.
Their investgation is now focusing on waste ground next to the country house, which has already been searched a number of times.
The children’s photos have also been published in the missing persons section of Interpol’s website .
Ruth Breton Ortiz, six, and her brother Jose, two, were last seen alive by their father, Jose Breton Gomez, 38.
Breton remains in prison as the main suspect.
His side of the story is that he lost sight of the siblings for a moment in a park in Cordoba, but there is no footage of him with the children and no witnesses saw him in the park with the youngsters.

Mother of missing children Ruth and Jose blames father for their disappearance
THE mother of missing youngsters Ruth and Jose Breton has broken her silence and accused the children’s father of being to blame.
Speaking publicly for the first time, three months after the children vanished from Cordoba, Ruth Ortiz called on Jose Breton to speak out about what happened.
“Everyone that knows Jose Breton knows that he did not lose the children, and those that don’t know him can be sure that I know what I am talking about,” she said.
“He has to tell the truth. He is responsible for the disappearance of my children and he must speak.
“His family also knows that he is to blame, but for them it is easier to cling to the hope that they were lost rather than accept the stark reality.”
Ortiz was addressing a crowd of over 350 people who gathered in Cordoba three months after the children vanished to hold a 30 minute silence.
Ruth, 6, and Jose Breton, 2, have now been missing for over 90 days but despite extensive searches of Bretons home and that of his parents on the Guadalquivir River, police are no closer to finding out what happened to them.
Their father, who has been in prison since October 21, insists he lost track of them while walking in the Cruz Conde Park in Cordoba.
Meanwhile Ortiz has vowed to continue fighting until she learns the truth.

This case completely missed me. The area is so isolated and dry terrain. It'll be a tough case. So sad !

It had got past me too and was brought to my attention by coverage of the new Madeleine sighting & search near the same area which was published earlier this weeek.

1000 demand news of missing children, Ruth and Jose
MORE than 1,000 people protested in Cordoba, demanding news of missing Ruth and Jose.
The demonstrators were led by the children’s mother, Ruth Ortiz, who carried a banner with photos of her two children and the heading “We want to come home!”
Aged six and two, they disappeared from Cruz Conde park last October while in the care of their father, Jose Breton, who is separated from their mother.
Ruth and Jose vanished while his back was turned, he claimed, but despite intensive police searches, their whereabouts remain unknown.
Breton is now imprisoned on remand. Ruth Ortiz was accompanied by the parents of Marta del Castillo, the 17-year-old murdered in January 2009 whose body has yet to be located.
Also there was Maria del Mar Bermudez, the mother of 22-year-old Sandra Palo, murdered in Madrid in May 2009.
This was the latest in a series of demonstrations calling for news of two children and was the first time that Ruth and Jose’s paternal grandparents took part.
Although not at the head of the procession they walked beside people carrying banners critical of Jose Breton, dubbing him “coward” and “criminal.”
“We want to know where Ruth and Jose are” and “Freedom for Ruth and Jose” other placards proclaimed, while one urged Breton’s lawyer to persuade him to tell the truth.
Onlookers encouraged Ruth Ortiz as the demonstrators as the procession wound through the centre of Cordoba.
“Be brave,” some called out, “you’re not going to suffer any more.
We’ll find them.” In a message to her children at the end of the hour-and-a-half demonstration, Ruth Ortiz assured Ruth and Jose that “only a few people had no interest in discovering where they were” but she “and many, many other people” would search for them forever.
Declining to comment on the presence of the children’s paternal grandparents, Ortiz insisted that she had the strength to go on fighting.
“My children were always smiling and I have to go on smiling for their sake,” she explained.
