Missing Children Society of Canada: Reward Offer Closes at Midnight in Pearl Gavaghan Da Massa Case
Case will remain open until missing girl is found
The $10,000 reward for information in the Pearl Gavaghan Da Massa case is scheduled to expire at midnight tonight.
While the organization has received several tips since the reward announcement, including new photos of the pair, the reward for information remains unclaimed.
"Although the window on this reward offer is closing, this will remain an active case until Pearl is found," said Ted Davis, an investigator with MCSC and a former police detective. "We remain focused on reuniting Pearl with her father, and we will continue to follow up on the information we have received on this case."
"Thank you to everyone who acted on their concern for Pearl's well-being by contacting us with information," Davis continued. "Every piece of information, no matter how small it may seem, is helpful in our effort to bring Pearl back to safety."
The reward announcement was originally made on April 6th, which was Pearl's 7th birthday - a day that should be spent with family and friends – something that this little girl is being deprived of.
It has been over 2 years since the little girl vanished from the United Kingdom. Pearl Rose Gavaghan Da Massa was taken by her mother, Helen Gavaghan, who had joint custody with the child's father, Henry Da Massa.
Since December 9, 2008, Helen has been on the run with the child and hiding from authorities. There were sightings of them in Toronto last summer, and they may still be in the Toronto area or have ties to the area. New information also points to the possibility that the missing girl and her abductor may have travelled across Canada and are in hiding in British Columbia, possibly in the Vancouver area.
Helen may be using aliases of Dana Flaherty or Meta International. Pearl may be known as Belle Flaherty. They both speak in British accents.

Delighted dad reunited with daughter, 7, after search in Mexico US and Canada
A dad has been reunited with his daughter nearly three years after she was taken abroad by her mother.
Henry Da Massa had not seen his daughter Pearl since she disappeared aged five after he dropped her off at her nursery in 2008.
He discovered Pearl’s mother Helen Gavaghan, 32, had taken the youngster from her Chorlton home to Mexico, the US and then Canada.
An international police hunt was launched and Henry moved from Manchester to Toronto in a bid to find Pearl.
But now he has finally been reunited with his daughter after she was found in Montreal.
He and Pearl, now seven, are on their way back to Manchester from Gatwick airport after the Canadian courts gave them permission to fly back to Britain.
It is believed Helen has been arrested and is being held in Canada.
Henry said: “I’m elated. It was only when we got on the plane that I really knew we were coming home. It was the end of the mayhem and we could finally get back to normality.”
Henry said he worked closely with Canadian authorities and Greater Manchester Police during his long and difficult search for his missing daughter.
The High Court ruled Helen had broken the law by taking Pearl out of the country and police had said she would be arrested if she returned to Britain.

Missing British girl, 7, reunited with father after being found in Canada following 'abduction by her mother'
A father has been reunited with his daughter almost three years after she was snatched by her mother and taken abroad.
Henry Da Massa from Manchester has been searching for Pearl Gavaghan Da Massa since the seven-year-old was abducted in December 2008.
'It was the end of the mayhem,' Mr Da Massa, told the Manchester Evening News.
'We've had to go back to where we were three years ago and get used to each other again.'
He had joint custody of Pearl with her mother Helen Gavaghan, 33, and a High Court ruled the youngster had been removed illegally from the UK after the pair fled to Mexico before crossing the border to the US.
Mr Da Massa had last seen Pearl in December 2008 when he dropped her off at a children's centre in Manchester where her mother was scheduled to pick her up.
The next day, one of Ms Gavaghan's friends told Mr Da Massa that Pearl had been taken by her mother on a one-month trip to India.
It was the last he heard of her.
An international police hunt was launched and Mr Da Massa moved to Toronto, Canada, after sightings of them in the Canadian capital last year.
Mr Da Massa, who worked closely with the Canadian authorities and Greater Manchester Police as the hunt went on, today spoke of his delight after he was reunited with Pearl.
She was finally traced to Montreal and is now back in the UK with her father.
Mr Da Massa an IT consultant said: 'It's been a long search to find Pearl
'Finding and bringing Pearl home has been a combination of hard work and good fortune, vigilance and public response.
The Canadian authorities gave the pair permission to return to the UK.

Quick-thinking metro rider helps reunite British father, daughter
A British father and his daughter are home, breathing a huge sigh of relief.
The man, Henry Da Massa, had been searching for his daughter throughout North America for three years, ever since his ex-wife Helen Gavaghan is alleged to have abducted the girl, who's now seven years old.
Pearl Rose Gavaghan Da Massa was found living with her mother in Montreal, thanks to a citizen recognizing the girl on a metro car last week, and who called the Missing Children's Network.
Pina Arcamone from the Missing Children's Network praises the anonymous metro rider's quick thinking, and for placing that phone call.
"We consider he's a hero in the life of this little girl and his dad, " said Pina Arcamone from the Missing Children's Network. "He could have easily said, it's none of my business, I'm not going to get involved."

'Feels amazing' to be reunited with Pearl, father says from the UK
A 911 call from a concerned citizen, who reported “suspicious activity” late at night in Montreal earlier this month, led police to 7-year-old Pearl Gavaghan da Massa.
The girl from the U.K., whose disappearance in 2008 sparked a massive search on two continents, has now been reunited with her father.
“This feels amazing,” Henry da Massa said from his home in England, where he was watching over his daughter as she painted and he fielded dozens of congratulatory calls.

This was one of the first 'poster cases' that Ringo and I did. I have walked many a mile in Chorlton and the outer localities putting up posters for Pearl.
What a great outcome.
Thanks for reporting this great news Twiglet. I appreciate all you do.
