Shannon's Mum facing Kidnap charge

THE mother of English schoolgirl Shannon Matthews, who went missing for 24 days earlier this year, has been charged with the nine-year-old's kidnap and false imprisonment.

Karen Matthews (32) had earlier also been accused of perverting the course of justice and child neglect. She pleaded not guilty yesterday to the kidnap, false imprisonment and perverting the course of justice charges and entered no plea to the child neglect charge. Also at Leeds Crown Court was Michael Donovan (40). He pleaded not guilty to kidnap, false imprisonment and perverting

Thanks twiggy. Since you have to pay by CC I expect he must be guilty. In that household I don't know for sure though eh? He'll be in prison for a while but not long based on many sentences.
