Hi Steve

As I am hopeless as anything computer based, can I please ask you to post this pic of the card for Shannon.

It says at the top "Wishing you lots of love", then down the side SHANNON, and in the little tag it says "welcome home". The little girl is in the inside of the card looking through to the front, and I picked this particular decoupage because she has a little kitten, just as Shannon has had for the last couple of days.

If you could do that for me, I would be very grateful.

well i was just saying on another thread that i will reserve judgement on all of this right now - you never know if the grandparents are trying to turn the knife or what - the way i see it is if she was having such a bad time then why didn't they intervene if they cared so much? there's always two sides to every story so I'm sat on the fence. all i know if that Shannon Matthews is alive and hopefully doing well and the kids sent a card from our family to support her. bless her cotton socks!

39 year old Michael Donovan charged with Kidnap and false imprisonment of Shannon Matthews!!

that was quick but they had to act quickly.Ok let's wait and see.Hope she wasn't harmed further.

After the CPS announcement the reporter said that the case against Michael Donovan has been left open to add more charges if necessary! The police are still awaiting forensic test results, and it also depends on any other information gained from Shannon herself!

I believe it was to formally charge him with abduction and unlawfully witholding a child against her will.

Man remanded over Shannon kidnap

A 39-year-old man has been remanded in custody charged with the kidnap and false imprisonment of Shannon Matthews.

Michael Donovan, of Lidgate Gardens, Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, appeared at Dewsbury Magistrates' Court, charged with taking the nine-year-old schoolgirl on February 19.

He was remanded in custody and will appear next at Leeds Crown Court on March 26.

Shannon's mum: We were not involved

Karen Matthews today told the YEP she had nothing to do with her daughter's disappearance.

Karen, 32, was speaking out as she criticised some sections of the media's "hurtful" coverage during her three-and-a-half week ordeal.

Karen, mum of Shannon Matthews, nine, said she and her loved ones had been left distressed by stories which appeared to judge her family's lifestyle, or those which hinted they may have been involved with Shannon's disappearance.

Karen told the YEP: "I would like to say how hurtful and unhelpful the tone of some of the press coverage has been.
