Actually the news are still scary about the 2 boys. Their parents have given them (as they say) to their uncle for adoption. The weird thing is that till now the boys haven't been found which makes the police suspicious that the boys might have been sold for their organs ....which is just a theory till now,,,,
Some news about the case.

Sure Pam,
The latest news are that the father of the boys is in jail already after the mother has confessed that they gave the boys to a relative to give them away for abduction. The kids are still missing.
Just to add that its a family of 14 members and it has been reported that 3 years ago they gave an other of their kids for abduction.
They are doing this because they need money. The relative that took the boys refuses to reveal where the boys are and the police is still on searching for them in all Greece.
Citizens of Orestiada said that this family is having alot of problems and the way they were living made the social services to contact them alot of times. The mayor of the city offered a small house to the family last year. The mother some months ago left the family and disappeared for some time because she had problems with her huband.
As we can all understand it's a family with many problems.
They are gypsies and the same is their relative that took the boys to give them for abduction.

What a sad case and a tragic end.
Were these parents really so desperate or was it more a case of greed?
RIP little ones!

Greek officials say 2 missing boys died trapped in an elevator
Two young brothers whose disappearance prompted a nationwide alert died of starvation and dehydration when they became trapped in a broken elevator in an empty building, authorities said Friday.
A coroner concluded that 6-year-old Aihan and 8-year-old Amet Ceribasi had survived for up to five days in the elevator before dying, hospital officials said.

This is so sad and it really makes me sick to the core that parents are capable of doing things like this to their own children !!

Logos, if you read the article above, we do not know that the parents were responsible for doing anything to those boys.
It looks to me like it might of been a tragic accident.
Am I right in thinking this?

The investigation is still active for the tragic story with the two brothers. There is a circle of false coffessions and people of the family that are not telling the truth.
From what we have all understood till now, this was a tragic accident that the boy's have trapped in an elevator in a building that was uninhabited , meaning that no one was living there.
Now the autopsy on the boys shows that they were alive for 5 days and the dehydration seems to be what killed the two boys. During the time they were still trapped they found a way to have an iron bar and to brake the glass of the elevator and so they could have air.
The reason that the boys were nude and their clothes were outside the elevator, the police thinks that this was a way they wanted to attract the attention to someone that might could be in the building when both were sleeping.
Now the thriller has no end,,,cause now the police thinks that the mother said that her husband gave the boys for abduction because she wanted to revenge him due to the many probelms they already had and she had disappeared for many months leaving kids and him behind.
The most strange thing about this story is that the father went to the jail after the mother said that he is responsible for this disappearence and the father didn't deny this and he went to the jail without saying anything.
The first 24 hours the parents didn't inform the police about the disappearence of their kids and the 2nd day their grandmother called the police and then the "smile of the kid" -that it's an organization responsible for the amber alert system- has being informed about the boys later from some neighbours.
And the last one is that no one knows why the boys went in this building. And the more saddest in this story is that this building was only 100 meters from their house.
There are still a lot of questions in this case.
