I was hoping for the same, but...
I so much hope that the police will find those responsible for the little girl's death. Poor little Mari.

I THINK I have found the address for Mari Luz's parents! (Translated from a Spanish site)
February 5, 2008 - 11:32 a.m.
To send sheets of signatures, you can send to this address by regular mail,
Gypsy Association Romano Drom.
C / geranium s / n cp 21005 Huelva.
(In Spanish: Asociación gitana romano drom., c/ geranio s/n cp 21005 Huelva.)
These signatures Iran directly at the hands of Juan Jose because I am his brother Diego cuts.
http://tinyurl.com/2ncrno
Does this look right to everyone else? I guess I will have to use the Spanish version ....................... any thoughts?
Can any of our Spanish posters tell me if there are just 2 lines of an address here - if not, how do I break it in the formal address system for Spain?

Hi Merly, it is in abbreviated form. I recognise the c/geranio bit= Calle de geranio (Geranio street). Hope others knowing Spanish addresses will come forward. A few Spanish posters were online today so may come back tonight.

Okay, let's see how close we can get an address for our Spanish posters to correct an amend. Twiglet came up with some of it. This is what we have so far:
Juan Jose Cortes and Irena Ramirez
Asociación gitana romano drom.
Calle de geranio
s/n cp 21005
Huelva
Spain

Hi all
Would have posted sooner but have been away for 3 days.
The address looks good for the first 3 lines.
I do not know what s/n means but think it isn´t necessary and cp means codigo postal so no need to write cp as it appears there in numbers.
I would leave s/n out as well so just put the numbers on a line on their own, that´s how the postcode appears in my address so I am sure that will be fine.
The second line words should all begin with capitals as well as this is the name of a gitano (gypsy) association. I am assuming it is not their home address but an association address that they must belong to so they will get the mail.
Also a capital for Geranio.
Hope this helps
love RS xx

Yep. That looks perfick!
Keep thinking about this case, it has got to me as much as Madeleine's story.
If I try not to dwell on them I feel uncaring and then guilty, if I dwell on them I feel miserable.
That´s why I´m a terrible lurker Tezza- I just don´t know what to say most of the time.
I think I might try the Fireplace later as I have never been in there and chat a bit about other stuff, it looks warm in there and all the food and drink sound good too.

There is always a hot pot of tea going in there and all sorts of snacks.
I don't go in there as often as I should.

The man they suspect of abducting and killing Mari Luz Cortes:
Source: El Pais http://www.elpais.com/fotografia/espana/detenido/crimen/Mari/Luz/elpfot/20080326elpepunac_17/Ies/
Spanish TV reported the following: (I cannot guarantee how accurate this is)
He was jailed 16 years ago for abusing his own daughter. Mari Luz's father suspected him immediately as he was known to have convictions for paedophilia. He left Huelva the day after Mari Luz disappeared because he was afraid of Mari Luz's family.
He lived 100 metres from Mari Luz's home. He was the first and only suspect and police questioned him two days after Mari Luz disappeared, but had nothing to go on, he was released.
He said that he saw her in the street Sunday afternoon and called her into his home. She went inside, he said she became scared and she fell down the stairs. Police forensics say this does not tie in with autopsy report which reveals she was held from behind and either strangled or suffocated. It is thought that his wife is an accomplice.
