Family fears for vulnerable missing teen

A vulnerable Shirley teen who has the mental age of a three-year-old has gone missing after his first day at college.
Michael Taylor, 19, suffers from severe learning difficulties. He finds it very hard to speak and is hard of hearing.
Now Michael's distraught family is making a desperate appeal for information leading to his whereabouts, as police are unable to step in before he has been missing for 24-hours.
The life skills student was last seen at 1.30pm yesterday (Monday), stepping out from Carshalton College in Nightingale Road, Carshalton, after lunch.
College CCTV cameras captured him leaving the college, rummaging in his bag and looking up at what could have been a bus - probably the 157 that runs from Crystal Palace to Morden, via Wallington and West Croydon.

His mum, Dawn, of Oaks Lane, said: "We're all absolutely devastated and terrified for his safety.
"Michael's never travelled unaccompanied and we're worried he might have an accident as he gets disorientated at traffic junctions.
"Nothing like this has ever happened before. He might be trying to make his way back home but he has no money and left his jacket behind.
"He has an Oyster card that can only be used if he is with someone else."
Family and friends launched a search party last night through Purley, Crystal Palace, Thornton Heath, Streatham and Lewisham, but with no luck.
