Amber Alert Update: Police fear Father may harm kids

* Israel Hernandez, Father. He is dangerous with a history of abusing his children

* His Partner Marta Torres is with him

* His 3 children are described as:

**Xiomara Hernandez-Torres, 3, is 3 feet tall, with black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a rose-colored shirt and black pants with white shoes.
** Pablo Hernandez, 4, is 3 feet tall and weighs 30 pounds. He has brown eyes and short black hair. He was wearing a blue shirt with white stripes, blue jeans and white shoes.
** Alicia Hernandez, 6, is 3 feet 6 inches tall, 40 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a red and pink shirt with white shorts and pink shoes.

Police:

"Now the kids and some items are gone from the house where he lives, and we're not positive of his intentions."

Missing since 31 August 2008


It is believed that the 3 children are with their father Israel Hernandez and his girlfriend, Martha Torres pictured below.

There are no longer active amber alerts tonight. Can someone please help if any news on these children? Thanks.

Apparently it is not newsworthy ! They no longer appear on Missing Kids website It must be good news !! Yipee ! Success at last for a case possibly fled to Mexico !

So dare I move this case to our happy place?

Tezza, I am wondering if our members could get US members to find out more info on this case, on other sites? I know some sites have more US members than we do currently. I find it amazing there are no news stories after being missing so long and in such danger.

I will also contact NMEC for assurance kids are safe.

No response yet. Not sure I'll get any, so please contact US friends. Thank you.

I have searched and searched online today and there are no updates regarding this case!

I have contacted NMEC and I'm now awaiting a reply! So fingers crossed they will get back to me with good news!


This is from back in September! (sorry link shut down befor I got to save URL, Would take me ages to find it again).

Police say they've exhausted all leads, and the tips have slowly stopped coming in. But investigators don't want the public to forget them. Merritt says, "We're very concerned for the welfare and safety of the children, and we've done absolutely everything we can think of to get them back." This is the state's only unresolved Amber Alert.

Police couldn't say how long the Amber Alert will be in effect for these three children.
