Still no sign of missing 11-month-old Kansas City girl‎

There is still no sign of a missing 11-month-old girl in Kansas City, Missouri. Lisa Irwin was last seen sleeping in her crib on October 3rd.

Police brought out ATV's and search dogs to comb an area between 210 and 36th Street, north Brighton to Searcy Creek Parkway. The people in these near-by townhomes have watched it before.

Christy Mormino says, "Where is the baby? Seriously, where is the baby? That is what makes me so sad and makes you have that feeling in your stomach the more time that goes by that the outcome is not gonna be good."

Mormino has been watching it unfold outside her front door for nine days now. On the first day, she says, officers went door to door through here asking a lot of questions. They looked through dumpsters, too.

Seach for missing Missouri girl enters 11th day

The search for missing Lisa Irwin enters its 11th day Friday, with police in Kansas City, Missouri, no closer to locating the 11-month old.

For a second day, police scoured a wooded area near Missouri Route 210 Thursday looking for clues. They did not say what they found.

Also Thursday, the family released home videos of Lisa, taken in March, in which she smiles and gurgles in some.

"Who are you talking to?" a woman's voice asks, in another. Lisa babbles in response, prompting laughter.

Police, who were joined in their search effort by federal authorities last week, have said they have no suspects or solid leads in Lisa's disappearance.

Police investigating Lisa Irwin case search wooded area again‎

Investigators spent part of Thursday afternoon searching a wooded area near Missouri 210 looking for any evidence connected to a missing Northland baby.

Capt. Steve Young said the latest search was near the same area authorities and police dogs scoured on Wednesday. They did not receive a tip, but wanted a more thorough examination of the area.

“We thought it was prudent to keep looking,” Young said.

Earlier in the day, a New York security consultant spent more than an hour speaking with the parents of a missing 11-month-old Lisa Irwin.

Bill Stanton, a former New York City police officer and consultant for network news shows, said he is assisting the family in finding Lisa, who disappeared Oct. 4 while she slept in her crib.

Stanton would not disclose details of his conversation with the parents, with whom he spoke separately. However, he said his inquiry is moving ahead.

As the search for missing baby Lisa Irwin wraps up its second week with few clues, an anonymous "wealthy benefactor" offered a $100,000 reward for the safe return of 10-month-old Lisa.

The announcement came from a New-York based private security consultant Bill Stanton as he held a news conference Friday and said the benefactor had a relationship with baby Lisa's family. The $100,000 reward is for the safe return of baby Lisa, or conviction of someone involved in the crime.

Man questioned in disappearance of Kansas City baby‎

Kansas City Police have confirmed they are questioning a man about the disappearance of Lisa Irwin, the baby who has been missing now for nearly two weeks.

Police say a handyman named Johnny Tanko was seen in the neighborhood around the time Lisa's parents say she was snatched from her crib.

The handyman has been arrested on charges not related to the Irwin case, but again, police are questioning him about the baby's whereabouts.

Police working the Lisa Irwin case search deserted house

Kansas City police were searching an abandoned house Saturday night on a tip in the disappearance of Lisa Irwin, but a spokesman was at least initially discounting a connection to the case.

Capt. Steve Young said police received a 911 call at 7 p.m. saying that used baby diapers and a child’s backpack had been found in the basement of the house near Northeast Russell and Chouteau Trafficway

The boarded-up house was less than a mile from the Irwin home in the 3600 block of North Lister Avenue.

Crime scene investigators were expected to arrive at the house to search for any other possible evidence, but Young said it appeared the diapers had been in the house for some time, outside the time frame of Lisa’s disappearance.

“It just doesn’t fit,” Young said.

Lisa, 11 months old, disappeared Oct. 4.

Young said the call came from volunteers who had been searching for baby Lisa.

The volunteers, who had just left a balloon launch and prayer event for Lisa, found the items inside the abandoned house, which is adjacent to an abandoned lot.

Meanwhile, a homeless man sought for questioning in the case was in custody Saturday night on unrelated felony charges.

Young said the man was arrested on a parole violation that had nothing to do with the Irwin case.

“Of course we want to talk to him, but no more or less than any of the neighbors” in the block where the baby was last seen, Young said.

“He is not a suspect.”

Saturday evening, balloons were released in honor of baby Lisa.‎

Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon has ordered the National Guard to assist in the efforts to find baby Lisa.

Nixon said Saturday that 25 members of the Missouri National Guard's 1139th Military Police Company, out of Harrisonville, will be in Kansas City on Sunday for a one day deployment to help in the search.

The guard members began searching a wooded area near the 3700 block of Jackson Avenue Sunday morning, less than one mile west of the family's home where the baby was last seen.

Guard spokeswoman Rachel Knight said its members are looking for clues that might have been overlooked in previous searches.

According to the FBI, the search of the area was not based on a specific tip.

Now the cousin of the missing baby has made a heart-felt plea for her return, saying he would gladly give his own life in exchange.

'I'd gladly give my life to bring Lisa home safely,' Mike Lerette told Good Morning America. 'We're hanging in there. Please, please, please keep praying.'

Yesterday the family decided to reveal home videos of the baby aged only three months to spread her image in a fresh attempt to help find her.
At the same time a mystery donor offered a $100,000 reward was put up for her return or the conviction of anyone involved in her going missing.

National Guard called in to help search for missing Missouri baby, Lisa Irwin‎

The National Guard is being called in to help find Baby Lisa.

Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon ordered the deployment Saturday of 25 members of the Citizen-Soldiers of the Missouri National Guard to Kansas City for one day to help search for the missing 11-month-old, who vanished without a trace Oct. 4.

They will work directly with the Kansas City Metropolitan Police Department, the governor's office said in a statement.

The deployment came a day after it was revealed that an anonymous donor offered up a $100,000 reward in exchange for Lisa Irwin's safe return.

Baby Lisa's mom admitted that she was drunk on the evening Lisa disappeared and also lied about the last time she actually saw Lisa which was 3 hours earlier. Please read below. So sad, every minute matters in a missing child case and for this to come out 2 weeks later it is so sad.

Lisa Irwin's mother reveals new details to 'Today's Show' about baby's disappearance

With her fiancée by her side, Deborah Bradley spoke with NBC News about the disappearance of her now-11-month-old daughter and the nearly two-week-long investigation that has followed.

Lisa Irwin was reported missing in the early-morning hours of Oct. 4. Her mother, Deborah Bradley, and her father, Jeremy Irwin, say he returned home from work around 4 a.m. and she was not in her crib.

Bradley has previously admitted to failing a lie detector test, and told NBC’s Peter Alexander she specifically failed the question about whether or not she knew where her daughter was.

In the interview, which aired Monday on "Today," Bradley admitted to being drunk the night Lisa disappeared, but insists she had nothing to do with her daughter’s disappearance and has no idea where she might be.

She says the fact investigators have focused so much on her has been difficult.

"My daughter is missing,” she said. “I shouldn't have to put any energy or time or effort into anything but finding her. Thinking of names, thinking of anything or anyone who has been around that was suspicious anything that was out of place.”

Investigators have not named any suspects in the case, and Bradley and Jeremy Irwin have not been accused of any crimes.

Missing baby Lisa Irwin's mother has revealed that she was "drunk" the night Lisa went missing and that the time she gave police as the last time she saw her daughter was a lie.

Just as news comes out that the Missouri National Guard joined the Kansas City, Mo., police Sunday to search for a baby girl who has been missing for nearly two weeks, Deborah Bradley has revealed that she was drunk the night her daughter went missing.

In an interview with NBC news, Deborah Bradley revealed that the last time she saw her daughter was really around 6:30 that night, and not at the original time she gave police, which was around 10:30 PM. She also revealed that she had been drinking that night "enough" to be "drunk," but that she doesn't think alcohol could have caused her to harm her own child.

Missing baby's family hires prominent attorney

A prominent New York City defense attorney has been hired to represent the parents of a missing Kansas City baby.
‎
Joe Tacopina told reporters Monday that he had been hired to represent Jeremy Irwin and Deborah Bradley. His past clients have included Joran Van der Sloot, the Dutch man suspected in the 2005 disappearance of Natalee Holloway in Aruba.

Tacopina praised Kansas City police for their investigation but insisted the parents have "nothing to hide."

Baby Lisa case grows murkier as mom goes on TV, family hires lawyer

The mother of a missing Kansas City baby added several new twists to an already perplexing case Monday as the search for her daughter entered its third week.

Deborah Bradley revealed in appearances on network TV morning shows that she last saw Lisa Irwin nearly four hours before the time she initially gave police. And Bradley said she had been drinking wine - "enough to be drunk" - on Oct. 3, the night the child, now 11 months old, disappeared from her crib

The revelations came on a busy day in the case that included the announcement that a high-profile New York lawyer would represent Lisa's parents. Meanwhile, investigators drained a creek and had dogs sniffing around the family's home in their continuing search for clues.

But authorities reported no progress in the case.

The lawyer, former New York City prosecutor Joe Tacopina, said in a news conference Monday afternoon that Bradley and Jeremy Irwin, Lisa's father, were innocent and would cooperate with authorities. Tacopina declined to say who was paying for his services.

He said Lisa's parents had consented to have their house searched again and would cooperate with investigators.

"They have nothing to hide, and they have said that from day one," Tacopina said.

He said his clients do not know what happened the night Lisa disappeared.

Missing Baby Lisa Parents Not Answering Vital Questions, Police Say

The parents of missing toddler Lisa Irwin haven't submitted to an interview with detectives for the last 10 days to answer questions about things "they might only know," police said today.

The 11-month-old girl vanished from her crib Oct. 3. Police have not named any suspects in the girl's disappearance, but the story of mother Deborah Bradley has altered somewhat and she has admitted to being drunk that night, possibly even blacking out.

Kansas City Police Capt. Steve Young expressed some frustration today with Bradley and the girl's father, Jeremy Irwin.

"The last time that the mom and dad sat down with detectives to answer questions about things they might only know was Oct. 8," Young told ABCNews.com.

"And that time, and previous times, there came a point when Deborah became uncomfortable and stopped the questioning," Young said.

Young conceded that the parents have spoken with detectives since Oct. 8, but only to clarify information about tips that have come in.

"We strongly believe that that parent's cooperation and involvement is critical [in finding Lisa]," Young said.

Police Plan to Search Home of Lisa Irwin Again

Police will return to the home where baby Lisa Irwin disappeared from 15 days ago. The family has been staying with other family members at a different residence. On Tuesday, police obtained a search warrant and plan to take a second look at Deborah Bradley and Jeremy Irwin's home. That means the family can no longer go inside the home.

Officers didn't say when that search will happen, but it's likely it will happen on Wednesday.

Kansas City police are holding the home of missing Lisa Irwin on a search warrant. Tuesday night, the Kansas City Police Department said that as a result of the search warrant, the parents can’t go inside the home.

The development follows Lisa's mother's recent admission that she may have blacked out after drinking the night of the 10-month-old's disappearance.

Kansas City police say it's been 10 days since the parents of a missing baby girl sat down with investigators.

Investigators are inside the home of missing baby Lisa Irwin, whose parents say she was abducted two weeks ago.

Kansas City police spokesman Capt. Steve Young says investigators have a warrant to search the family's house again Wednesday.

Shortly after sunrise, FBI crime scene trucks pulled up and a phalanx of FBI agents and Kansas City police officers gathered at the property. Officers cordoned off about a half block perimeter around the house, pushing back reporters and media trucks packing the street.

Authorities will not specify what they are looking for inside home

FBI and police are at the North Lister home where Lisa Irwin lived with her parents executing a search warrant they obtained Tuesday.

FBI spokesperson Bridget Patton said they needed a search warrant because the family obtained legal counsel.

Police and FBI will not specify what they are looking for inside the home, rather, saying they are retracing their steps to make sure they haven't missed anything.

Deborah Bradley and Jeremy Irwin, Lisa's parents, have had the right to their home since the investigation began.

Police say all other searches inside the home were consensual.

Deborah and Jeremy are not allowed inside their home as police have control of the property.

This is the first search warrant of the investigation.

That new development comes shortly after Riley County police confirm the baby seen with two women in Manhattan, KS, on Tuesday afternoon was not baby Lisa.

Sixteen days in the Lisa Irwin case: A KC toddler is still missing

After 16 frustrating days of searching, Kansas City police and the FBI are still seeking an answer to the question that has generated national headlines — where is Baby Lisa?

Hundreds of officers have spent countless hours running down tips and scouring for evidence since 11-month-old Lisa Irwin was reported missing from her crib Oct. 4.

On Wednesday, police and federal agents returned to the home with a search warrant. Investigators wearing protective suits spent most of the day and night working inside and outside the residence, as well as around a garage behind the home.

Police have publicly revealed little about what they know so far, including any results from Wednesday’s search. Indeed, virtually every substantive bit of information about the case — and who police might suspect in the baby’s disappearance — has come from her parents or people speaking on their behalf.

Allegations that Lisa’s mother, Deborah Bradley, failed a polygraph test, and statements that she was drunk and may have “blacked out” on the night her daughter went missing and that police were accusing her of involvement in the crime have all been revealed by Bradley herself on national television.

And while a lawyer for Lisa’s parents says they are cooperating in the investigation, police have stated publicly that is not the case.

Investigators Search Baby Lisa's Home For 17 Hours
‎
A marathon search of missing 11-month-old Lisa Irwin's home wrapped up early Thursday morning.
The search started at about 8 a.m. Wednesday and concluded at 1 a.m. Thursday, lasting roughly 17 hours. It was not known if investigators found anything of interest during the search.

Investigators in white suits walked in and out of the home all day Wednesday carrying bags of evidence and what appeared to be X-ray equipment. They were also seen carrying carpets out of the home.

While some worked inside the home, others were seen behind the home walking shoulder-to-shoulder, digging and raking the back yard for evidence.
