Wow that is very frightening. A shopping centre in my area has a whole new policy for child safety that is quite scary. Hope parents take care but don't become paranoid at same time.

Dealing with my own stuff, have only been able to think of Madeleine and Mari Luz at the moment. Can't believe so many missing all around Europe alone. It is very hard to think positive at this stage for many but maybe adventures for lots of runaways that finally come home.

The disappearance of Amy, a mystery unsolved after a month of searching

Malaga, February 1 (EFE) .- The disappearance of the young Irish 15 years Amy Fitzpatrick, who disappeared a month ago in the town of Mijas-Costa Málaga, has become an unsolved mystery with too many hypotheses, but no data relevant, so that each day that passes is more distraught family.

Today is Amy Fitzpatrick’s sixteenth birthday, and her friends are meeting at a bar in a shopping centre in Calahonda this evening to mark the event, despite the fact that Amy herself will not be there with them. I think I must be wrong but sitting here like a lunatic where a taxi is outside my house, where a man and girl/lady have just walked off from the taxi and she looks like Amy. I have all details of the car and will sit until they return. Anyone know job of her father? Could it be taxi driver? I'm thinking 99.9% wrong.

Irish Ambassador visits Málaga to review progress on Amy Fitzpatrick case with Spanish authorities

Not a trace of the teenager has been found since she disappeared in Mijas on the night of New Years Day
The Irish Ambassador to Spain, Peter Gunning, was in Málaga this Wednesday, along with Breda Lee, the Irish Consul in Málaga, for a meeting with government and Civil Guard authorities to review progress in the case of Amy Fitzpatrick, the teenage girl from Ireland who disappeared in Mijas more than two months ago, on the night of New Year’s Day.

The Embassy said in a press release that they were received in Málaga by the government delegate for the province, Hilario López Luna, and from the Civil Guard, by Comandante Jesús Esteban and Lt José Borrero. The meeting came a week after the mother of the missing teen, Audrey Fitzpatrick, and her partner, Dave Mahón, who were also at Wednesday’s meeting with the family spokesman, Franco Rey, met with the Irish Prime Minister, Bertie Ahern, in Dublin. Mr Ahern promised at the time that he would ask the Embassy in Madrid to convene a meeting between the family, Irish officials and Spanish police to review progress in the investigation into Amy’s disappearance.
