The news story is not on-line yet, but I saw the paper in the shops this evening ;

The Evening Herald are reporting that the Spanish police have notified the French police and customs officers to check if Amy is in France trying to get to the ferry to take her back to Ireland.

Computer belonging to missing Amy Fitzpatrick now at the centre of investigations

Amy's mother, Audrey Fitzpatrick, and stepfather, David Majon, were questioned for six hours on Friday by the Mijas Guardia Civil

The mother of the missing 15 year old Irish girl, Amy Fitzpatrick, Audrey Fitzpatrick was interviewed for a total of six hours on Friday together with the missing girl’s stepfather, David Majon. The interview took place at the local Guardia Civil barracks in Mijas, Málaga.
Reports are that the family is collaborating with the Civil Guard in an effort to reconstruct the life and movements of Amy over the last few days she was with them, although there has been no official comment or statement about what the conversations are about.

The Civil Guard reportedly want to know the details of Amy’s relationship with her mother, step father, and 17 year old brother, Dean.

At the end of the interview, which Audrey Fitzpatrick attended without a lawyer, there were so many press, both national and international outside that she lost her cool, and reportedly declined to inform the press about the contents of the conversations.

Detectives ask gardai to assist as hunt for teenager is stepped up

AMY FITZPATRICK: Still no sign of missing teenager

Investigations by detectives into the mystery disappearance of 15-year-old Amy Fitzpatrick on the Costa del Sol were stepped up yesterday in Spain and Ireland with still no sign of the missing teenager, despite intensive searches of the area where she is believed to have disappeared.

Detectives from the Guardia Civil were probing several lines of inquiry in the hunt for the young girl, including trawling through her computer records, hoping they would provide a breakthrough in the search.

The family computer was taken from her home on Thursday and experts are analysing her e-mails, chatroom conversations and the websites she had visited in the weeks before she disappeared.

Aunt's Appeal For Missing Teen

The family of Irish teenager Amy Fitzpatrick, who went missing on New Year's Day near her home in Spain, have appealed for her safe return. In a statement read by Amy's aunt Christine Kenny, the teenager's father asked anyone holding her to let her go.

The trouble is, if she has run away from home before, they don't know whether she has run away or whether she has for example been abducted.

me too. i prefer to think of her running away than i do her being abducted. i wish if she has run away that she at least calls her poor family and makes contact, they must be beside themselves.

Two kids in the space of a couple of weeks disappearing in spain, it's tragic isn't it.
