Police issue new appeal as missing girl turns 18

Police in Lancashire are renewing their appeals for information about missing teenager Paige Chivers, who turns 18 on Wednesday 17th February.

The schoolgirl disappeared two and a half years ago, aged 15, from her family home on 23 August 2007.

Fresh appeal to find Blackpool teenager Paige Chivers

A fresh appeal is being made for help to trace a Blackpool teenager who went missing from her home three years ago.

Paige Chivers was just 15 when she disappeared from her family home in Bispham after a row on 23 August 2007.

She was last seen at a bus stop on Ashfield Road in Blackpool on the same day, carrying a bag or suitcase.

Paige, who would now be 18, is 5ft 5in tall and slim with shoulder-length light brown or dyed blonde hair and a "Playgirl" tattoo on her neck.

The new appeal is being made to coincide with International Missing Children's Day.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts should contact Lancashire Police.

Detectives have been unable to confirm any sightings of Paige and have previously said she is likely to have come to some harm.

Paige Chivers has been missing since August 2007‎

Paige Chivers was just 15 years old when she was last seen in the Blackpool area of Lancashire, UK in August 2007. Today she is the focus of Help My Child's Countdown to Christmas campaign.

That fateful day in August 2007 that Paige ran out of her family's front door in Bispham, Lancashire during a fight was the last time anyone saw her.
Last year police arrested a man from Blackpool in connection to Paige's murder. He was later released as were three others for the same charge. It is believed that the young girl was being groomed for sex. Her body remains at large.

Her mother died in 2007 leaving Paige a large inheritance. If she is alive she was eligible to obtain those funds when she turned 18 in February.
Brown-eyed Paige has a tattoo of a Playboy bunny with the word 'Playgirl' on the back of her neck. She is 5'4" with a slim build and dark brown hair.
Det Supt Kevin Toole, who is in charge of the enquiry said on her Help Find My Child profile page, "I remain convinced someone in Blackpool holds the clues that will lead us to her whereabouts"

"An important line of enquiry continues to be around Paige's movements and associates in the months prior to her going missing. I would urge anybody that has information, no matter how insignificant they believe it to be, to pick up the phone and get in touch." "We continue to keep an open mind during this investigation but as time goes on our concerns have naturally grown for her safety and is it likely at this stage that she could have come to harm."
