Here are the heartfelt letters written by the Chivers family this Christmas.

A father's heartfelt plea!

Letter from Frank

To my Darling Daughter Paige,

I understand that life before you left wasn't easy.
I wasn't always the best dad and I know I wasn't much of a role model to you and your younger brother.
Ever since your mum passed away I knew things wouldn't be the same but I tried my hardest to stay strong.
I understand that I wasn't around much due to work but I tried to give you everything I could and wanted you to be happy.
Ever since the argument we had I have wanted to apologise to you.
I never thought that you would leave like this and I'm missing you so much.
I'm so sorry about the argument we had.
It wasn't your fault I accused you of doing something wrong and I've now realised it was me who was in the wrong.
I should have believed you in the first place but instead I led you to run away.
You could do anything wrong in life yet I would still forgive you and love you because your my little girl.
Without you here there is no light at the end of the rainbow.
I wake up every morning thinking about you.
Where you are? What you are doing? Are you safe and well? Are you even alive?
I sit and pray every night wishing that you are looked over and kept safe because knowing that I cannot keep you safe myself hurts.
I pray that there is someone up there looking over you for me.

Last Christmas was so hard without you here.
I bought you so many presents that year as a way to apologise to you and show how much I cared.
I can't go through that again and I'd love for you to come home and be with me, Lorraine and the girls.
Lorraine would love to have another girl in the family to look after and Francesca and Aimee would love to catch up.
There are so many people who care about you here at home and would love to see you again.
Missing your 16th birthday in February also hurt so much.
My little Sweet Pea was becoming a young lady and I couldn't be with you to celebrate.
I honestly thought that maybe you would come home that day just so you could tell me you were now an adult and I couldn't tell you what to do.
You were like that - always older in your head.
I truly understand how unwanted and unloved you must have felt over the past three years during the problems and arguments which occurred in that space of time.
I regret the argument we had before you left and I truthfully never realised how much I had to lose.
The old saying must be true you - you don't know what you've got until it's gone.

Because now you've gone Paige I have lost so much, my happiness, my love for others and in some cases my mind.
I can no longer think straight every day without you is heart wrenching.
My life feels like a chore and I can no longer have fun.
I can't remember having as much as much fun like we did at the Bispham gala which we attended every year without fail.
My life seems pointless and knowing that you could be going through worse makes me angry at myself for even thinking about what I'm going through.
I understand that there is the possibility that you are safe and you simply just don't want to come home because of me.
The thought of that is killing me slowly every day.
You need to understand how much I regret arguing with you that day in August and that I am so sorry for what I must have put you through.
I understand the strain and heartache you could of felt when your mum passed away.
I felt it too but losing you, my baby girl has killed me Paige.
Please come home.
You have every right to go to your nana and grandad's rather than coming back to me.
But please understand that I am truly sorry and would love for you to forgive me and come home to me.
I promise you now that as soon as you walk through the door the argument we had last year and the problems we have both shared over the last 16 months will be forgotten and we will look into the future.
I love you with all my heart Paige and would love for you to come home.

Paige,

After the first ever Christmas without you last year Paige, your dad's heart aches.
His misery of not seeing you for a second Christmas could be even worse this year.
After hearing on the radio there could have been a sighting of you, Frank has more determination than ever to find you.
He has always been sure you are still alive since the day you went missing last August and still believes you are walking the streets today.
After spending time in prison, (he was convicted for drink driving - Gazette editorial dept.) Frank has come out stronger than ever and won't let anyone or anything stop him from being reunited with you, his baby girl.
We would do anything for you to come home.
If you are out there Paige please come back.
We understand how you must have felt with your mum passing away and understand things were difficult in your life.
We hope you can understand that you have others as well as your family who care for you.
You have three stepsisters who would love for you to come home and meet up again after losing touch many years ago.
We want you to know that the argument you had with your dad before you left is in the past and well forgotten.
If you are in any kind of trouble or simply don't want to come home then please, for your dad's sake, get in touch with either the police or if not Frank himself then your nana and grandad who would also love to see you.
We wish we could of spent the day together in town last year like we planned and would love to be able to do it now.
Please come home Paige and make our family complete so we can look into the future together.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder by detectives investigating the disappearance of a schoolgirl.

Paige Chivers walked out of her family home in Bispham, Blackpool, in August 2007 following an argument. She was 15.
