Woman Claims She Saw Missing Michigan Boys‎

SANDUSKY, Ohio (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - a waitress claims she saw the three missing Michigan boys the Sunday after Thanksgiving.

Sandy Jones says she was working at a donut shop when a woman led three young boys into the shop, one of whom she refereed to as “Tanner.”

House of Donuts Waitress Sandy Jones says, “The two older ones, they... they didn't act like they wanted to come through the door when they first came in. The other one, he was looking up and looking around. He just didn't know what he wanted at first. He wanted everything, and she said just pick out your donut, Tanner, just pick out your donut."

Parents of jailed man say three Michigan boys are alive‎
The father of the Morenci, Mich. man whose sons have been the subject of a nationwide search said this afternoon he is certain the children are alive.

The father of the Morenci, Mich. man whose sons have been the subject of a nationwide search said this afternoon he is certain the children are alive.

William John Skelton said he believes his three grandsons are being held at an undisclosed location. He made the comments after a meeting with his son, John Skelton, 39, who is being held at the Lucas County jail. John Skelton and Roxanne Skelton both visited their son in Toledo.

The 30-minute visit was requested by the parents who came from Florida to see their son.

Anyone think John Skelton's family are hiding info here? I don't understand how they haven't been charged with obstruction or something !

The thoughts of these poor boys unhappy out there at best is heartbreaking !!

Also there are no official searches going on, 3 boys !! Mind boggles !! They are depending on hunters going out and searching. all way too laid back for me !! headbang

FBI interviews Sandusky woman about possible sighting of missing boys‎

The FBI on Wednesday interviewed a woman who believes she saw the three missing boys from Morenci, Mich., enter the donut shop where she works at the end of November.

Sandy Jones said an agent from the Cleveland office questioned her for about an hour and said the FBI would contact her Thursday about sending an artist to Sandusky to produce sketches of the three boys and woman she saw enter the House of Donuts at about 9:30 a.m. Nov. 28.

She said the FBI agent said there was no evidence the boys were dead and he hoped they were alive.

Teacher: I may have seen 3 missing brothers‎

A retired Morenci teacher has told authorities she may have seen the missing Skelton boys the day after Thanksgiving – just after they were reported missing – with a woman who matches a description given in an earlier possible sighting, according to a report.

The teacher said she may have seen Andrew, 9, Alexander, 7, and Tanner, 5, at a flea market in Ohio, WDIV-TV (Channel 4) is reporting today, quoting unnamed sources. She reportedly taught a music class to one of the boys and didn’t know until several days later than the children had been reported missing.

A Morenci Police representative this morning said he had no information on the possible sighting and could not comment.

Holiday hope, help, and healing are on the way for the friends of the three missing Morenci brothers.

Community leaders in the small, sleepy town are trying to help kids cope with the sudden disappearance of Andrew, Alex, and Tanner Skelton, ages 5-9 - and the possibility they might not make it back. So the schools and businesses are banding together in a community-wide show of concern.

Morenci itself is a community at a crossroads - two weeks since the Skelton boys were first reported missing, and two weeks until Christmas. The chamber of commerce and school leaders are doing what they can to help kids understand—and keep their hope alive.

Missing Morenci boys' dad almost arrested in September‎

The father of the three missing Morenci boys was threatened with arrest on parental kidnapping charges almost three months ago after he removed his sons from school for a Florida trip and suggested they may not return, according to police reports obtained by the Free Press.

The documents, obtained this week through a Michigan Freedom of Information Act request, shed light on the simmering dispute between John Skelton, 39, and his estranged wife, Tanya, 44, about a trip to Florida in September. Court records show that she filed for divorce following the trip.
The report shows that police had already reviewed the parental kidnapping statute because of the Florida dispute -- months before John Skelton was charged with three counts of parental kidnapping after the boys disappeared during a Thanksgiving visit.

Missing boys' dad could be sent back to Michigan‎

The father of three boys missing since Thanksgiving waived his right to an extradition hearing on Tuesday and was promptly processed and driven away to face charges across the state border in Michigan.

John Skelton, 39, had been fighting extradition on three charges of parental kidnapping in the disappearance of his sons Andrew, 9, Alexander, 7, and Tanner, 5. But during a Tuesday morning hearing in Toledo he agreed to his return to his home state.

Within an hour of the hearing's end, Skelton was driven off by Morenci, Mich., Police Chief Larry Weeks and another officer.

Skelton's attorney, Merle Dech, would not say why Skelton decided to stop fighting extradition.
