Police investigating "fund" for Zahra Baker

However, police say that they’ve heard of an organization soliciting funds for Zahra Baker and that they have not had any contact with the group. According to their website, the group’s goal is to “support the efforts of law enforcement to investigate and prosecute the case surrounding the abduction/homicide of Zahra Claire Baker.”

Police say they are working with “Team Adam” from the National center for Missing and Exploited Children. Team Adam is comprised of retired law-enforcement professionals with years of investigative experience on a variety of levels. Two Team Adam consultants are currently in Hickory, assisting with the case.

Search for teen mom centers on park‎

Authorities will meet Tuesday to plan their next move in the search for a Florence teen who has been missing for nearly a month.

...... Today, Covington Police and Clermont County officials are scheduled to meet to discuss how and when to search a 10,000-acre park in Clermont County, said Covington police spokesman Spike Jones.

"The Clermont County Sheriff's department has been very helpful, they are intimately familiar with that area and they've been very supportive of what we're doing," Jones said.

Investigators have focused on the park because the mobile phone of the last person seen with Johnson accessed cell towers in the area the morning she disappeared.

A large-scale search for 17-year-old Paige Johnson of Florence will take place on Wednesday.

Covington police said Tuesday afternoon that the search involving multiple agencies will begin at East Fork State Park in Batavia.

The reason the search is focusing on the Clermont County park is because cell phone records show the man last seen with Johnson was in that area the night she disappeared.

Court records state 22-year-old Jacob Bumpass of Taylor Mill is the last man to see Johnson after she disappeared on September 23.

Crews search Clermont County park for missing teen‎

Crews are centering their search around East Fork Lake for missing teenager Paige Johnson starting Wednesday Morning.

Covington police say between 50-80 professional search crew members will be combing the park for evidence of Johnson's disappearance starting at 7:00 AM Wednesday.

Johnson was last seen nearly a month ago in Covington with Jacob Bumpass. Police have turned the search to East Fork Lake because cell phone records show that Bumpass' cell phone was near the lake the night that Johnson disappeared. Bumpass has not been charged with anything relating to Paige's disappearance. He is behind bars for an unrelated parole violation.

Search for missing NKY teen grows to 110 people at East Fork State Park

About 110 people, some walking with cadaver dogs and others on horseback or in all-terrain vehicles, searched East Fork State Park this afternoon for evidence that could indicate what happened to Paige Johnson, a 17-year-old who went missing in Northern Kentucky and might have been the victim of foul play.

The task of the searchers, who included police, firefighters and civilian volunteers representing 30 different agencies, seems daunting because the park encompasses more than 10,000 acres spanning three Clermont County townships.

The search has focused on land north of Harsha Lake, including a stretch along Old Ohio 32 in Williamsburg Township that’s outside the park, said Lt. Col. Spike Jones of the Covington Police Department. Police speculated that Paige's body might have been dumped somewhere in the woods near a road.

No sign of the girl had been found as of 3:15 p.m.

Paige Johnson's mother speaks out after failed search at East Fork Lake

"I pray every days she's alive,"says Donna Johnson. These days, she is a portrait of anguish. She barely granted an interview as the search for her daughter Paige enters into it's second month. She says she's always on edge.

"It's just hard to even get up and go on with your day because, you know, we don't know where she is. It's a feeling I can't explain. You know, it's the worst feeling in the world," says Donna.

Donna is surrounded by people who share her fears, grief and even hope. Over at Paint Yourself Silly a command post has sprung up for the community efforts to find the missing 17-year-old.

Missing teen had tough life‎

COVINGTON - When Paige Johnson went missing Sept. 23, Lisa Little wondered if the 17-year-old Florence girl may be in trouble.

The 37-year-old Little didn't want Paige to think she couldn't reach out for help because of past differences. Little once banned her own teenage daughter from hanging out with Paige because she was a "trouble maker."

Little created the "Paige You Are Safe Here" page on Facebook to reach out to the missing teen. Paige regularly used the social networking site to communicate with friends and family.

One month later, Paige still hasn't been heard from and the Facebook page has morphed into an exchange for more than 15,000 people seeking information on the teen's disappearance and remembrances of her.

Whether Paige will ever make it to a safe place, or see what her friends and others concerned about her say is very much in doubt, investigators say.

Bonnie Sartin goes from pole to pole. She pulls a small, notebook-sized poster out of a simple blue folder. She smoothes it flat, and places a piece of tape on each corner.

Then she places her hand on the poster and prays, prays for Paige Johnson.

Every poster, every time, she prays. And every time she talks to Paige.

"We're gonna find you, little girl, we're gonna find you," Sartin says.

Then she gently pats the poster and makes the sign of the cross.

Paige Johnson, 17, of Florence has been missing since Sept. 23.

Paige Johnson Fundraiser Flap‎

The search for a missing Northern Kentucky teenager has been temporarily side-tracked by a squabble over money. A fundraiser last week for Paige Johnson's family raised about 17-hundred dollars. But now, Johnson's family is angry with how the money has been split up.

Local 12's Joe Webb has been following the story.

What's going on is a lot of people trying to do the right thing, who don't agree on what the right thing may be. And when you start dealing with money, feelings can get hurt, tempers can get hot and the real goal can get lost in the shuffle.

Last Friday night, we told you about the fundraiser organized by Lisa Little, a family friend of Paige Johnson whose Facebook page now has 18-thousand supporters. That night, she told Local 12's Tiffany Wilson where the money would go.

Lisa Little, Family Friend: "It's going to be used for McKenzie, it's going to for her family and be whatever."

McKenzie, is Paige Johnson's two-year-old daughter. She lives with the father's mom, but after the fundraiser, which collected $1,750, plans for distributing the money changed.

Ryan Courtade, No. Kentucky Youth Foundation: "It was all working out that way. We called the person taking care of Paige's daughter and she said she really doesn't need the money, she would rather it go towards the reward or towards finding Paige, so that's what was intended to happen."

So, today, Lisa Little wrote a check for 725-dollars to the Northern Kentucky Youth Foundation to increase their reward money. She'd already written a check to Donna Johnson, Paige's mom, for 1,025 dollars. So, all the funds raised were spent. But today, Donna Johnson told us she should have it all.

"The benefit was for me and my family. I wanted it to go to McKenzie."
