Kiesha's parents have mobile phones taken‎

Kiesha Abraham's parents have had their mobile phones seized by police as part of the ongoing investigation into the child's disappearance from her Western Sydney home.

Kiesha's mother Kristi Abrahams and her stepfather Robert Smith were forced to hand over their phones to homicide detectives late last week, The Daily Telegraph reports.

Ms Abrahams and Mr Smith have denied any involvement in the disappearance.

Police would not comment on the significance of the mobile phones, other than to say it was part of the investigation.

The detective leading the investigation into the disappearance of Mt Druitt girl Kiesha Abrahams has vowed he will never give up on the six-year-old.

“I will never give up on her and neither will the other police who have been working tirelessly to solve this mystery.”

Candlelight vigil held for Kiesha on two-month anniversary‎

CANDLELIGHT and pink ribbons marked the two-month anniversary of Mt Druitt girl Kiesha Abrahams’ disappearance on Friday.

A large crowd wearing pink and carrying candles gathered at Elizabeth Jonsson Reserve, near Kiesha’s home on Woodstock Ave.

They lit candles in hope of reigniting awareness about the missing six-year-old.

The vigil was organised through a Facebook group, Princess Kiesha Abrahams.

The event’s organiser and site administrator, Katrina Parker said the event was a case of “one (Facebook) page banning together”.

Please bring her back to me, says Kiesha's mum‎

THE mother of missing Mt Druitt girl Kiesha Abrahams has revealed that Kiesha’s sister is bewildered by her absence and cries out for her older sibling.

Ms Abrahams said Brianna, 2, is too young to comprehend why Kiesha is no longer around to play with her and their new baby brother Levi.

“What do you say to a two-year-old?” Ms Abrahams asked.

“She will call Kiesha’s name and when you ask her what she said, she will then just walk away.”

'They don't know me': Kiesha's mother hits back as vigil held

NEIGHBOURS lit candles outside the home of Kiesha Abrahams last night while the missing six-year-old's mother, stepfather and biological father were being interviewed about the child's whereabouts by detectives at the Mount Druitt police station. The adults were at the station for several hours but left last night with no charges laid by police.

Flowers and soft toys began to pile up on the front fence of the family's apartment block yesterday, where about 200 people later held a candlelight vigil while the search for the girl continued in nearby parkland.

.... Kiesha's mother, Kristi Abrahams, rejected suggestions the child's upbringing had been less than ideal. ''It is disgusting what they are saying,'' she told Seven News. ''They don't know me.''

Ms Abrahams said she loved and missed her happy little girl. ''She was funny, she was always happy. She loved animals; she loved macaroni and cheese; she loved her sister and her brother.''

Hope for Kiesha dims, police have no new leads‎

THE chances of finding Mt Druitt girl Kiesha Abrahams alive become slimmer each day, says the detective leading the investigation.

It is almost three months since the six-year-old girl disappeared from her Woodstock Ave home.

While police remained committed to the case, Det-Insp Russell Oxford said time was not on their side. “The longer this goes, the worse it is and the graver it is,” he told the Standard.

There have not been any new significant developments and the investigation continues.

ABC's online report wins UN media award

The ABC News Online Investigations team has been awarded the prestigious UN Media Peace Prize in Melbourne for Best Online report.

The special report Beating the Odds, published last month, won the category in a tough field.

The multimedia report explores the issue of kids at risk in struggling communities and how families under pressure can be supported.

The disappearance of Mount Druitt school girl Kiesha Abrahams served as the catalyst for the report, which focused on the experience of people living in Mount Druitt and the surrounding suburbs.

Kiesha hope fades‎

IT IS now almost 100 days since Kiesha Abrahams disappeared from her Mt Druitt home and in that time the mystery of her fate has only deepened.

Detectives investigating the disappearance say they are continuing to look for a breakthrough.

As the chances of finding her alive diminish with time, they say they are keeping their focus on forensic evidence.

Lead detective Insp Russell Oxford said: ``We’re looking at capitalising in forensic information.

``No extraordinary information has come in providing a breakthrough.

``We’re going through our information and anything we may have overlooked or missed.’‘

He said while police have no new leads, they were constantly evaluating information.

Police interview Kiesha's little sister: report‎

Homicide detectives have taken the unprecedented step of interviewing the three-year-old sister of Kiesha Abrahams without either of her parents being present.

As the search for six-year-old Kiesha enters its 100th day today, police confirmed they had been waiting for the right time to speak to Kiesha's younger sister Breeana, The Daily Telegraph reports.

Police spent several hours with Breanna, who was accompanied by a social worker who has been in close contact with the family since Kiesha was reported missing from her Mt Druitt home on August 1.

Investigators specially trained in working with children were brought in for the interview which took place last week.

The interview included role playing to try and encourage Breanna to speak to officers.

Breanna's mother Kristi Abrahams and stepfather Robert Smith were not allowed in the interview room.

Ms Abrahams is doubtful the police achieved anything in interviewing her youngest daughter.

"I know for a fact they got nothing, she doesn't talk," Ms Abrahams said.

"She doesn't talk to the police, she doesn't talk to anyone."

Ms Abrahams said the girl was not comfortable around people she did not know and had not been talkative since Kiesha went missing.

She said Breanna often notices her sister's absence from the family, saying "Sissy gone".

Police would not disclose the reasons for interviewing the child, who is now one of the youngest people to be interviewed by NSW police.

Kiesha's baby sister interviewed in search for missing six-year-old‎

Homicide detectives say they are not any closer to finding out what has happened to missing six-year-old Kiesha Abrahams after interviewing her younger sister.

Police said they spoke to three-year-old Breeana Abrahams last week as part of their inquiries into her older sister's disappearance.

They said it was a routine part of the investigation and they have interviewed all other relatives of the girl, who was reported missing from her Mount Druitt home by her mother on August 1.

Advertisement: Story continues below Police today said it "hasn't brought us any closer" to finding what happened to the six-year-old.

More than three months after Kiesha was reported missing, police said the strike force established to investigate her disappearance remained at full strength

Kiesha's sister questioned by police‎

The sister of missing Sydney girl Kiesha Abrahams has become one of New South Wales' youngest people to be interviewed by police.

The Daily Telegraph has reported that three-year-old Breeana was questioned by police without the presence of her parents, instead being accompanied by a social worker as her parents were not allowed in the interview.

It is understood police encouraged Breeana during the interview with role playing games, in the hope of gaining any information in regards to her sister's disappearance.

Cops may offer cash to find Kiesha Abrahams‎

AS the search for missing Mt Druitt girl Kiesha Abrahams reached 100 days, police considered offering a cash reward to help further investigations.

Lead Det-Insp Russell Oxford said police had not ruled out offering a reward to encourage people with information to come forward.

He said cash rewards were usually offered at the end of an investigation but it was likely that police may resort to it a lot earlier.

``It is a big consideration in the investigation,’’ he said. ``We’re not discounting it.

``But at the present time, we will continue working on the case.’‘

Kiesha Abraham mum's fury over exploiting name‎

THE mother of missing Mt Druitt girl Kiesha Abrahams has criticised a Hebersham flea market named after her daughter.

Ms Abrahams blasted the organiser of Kiesha’s Flea Market - Albert Lafaele - for using the six-year-old’s name without her permission.

``I think he’s twisted and sick in the head for using my daughter’s name,’’ she said in an interview on TEN News last Monday night. It has been almost four months since Kiesha disappeared from her Woodstock Ave home.

She was last seen by her mother when she was put to bed on Saturday, July 31.
