Police issue child abduction alert after Mingo County homicide
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Police issued a child abduction alert Tuesday night in connection with an apparent homicide in the Spice Branch area of Mingo County.
Mingo County Sheriff's deputies received a call around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday about an apparently deceased male at a home in Spice Branch.
Police found the man alone in the home and are now investing his death as a homicide.
In addition, authorities are looking for a young girl they say has been abducted in connection with the homicide.
According to an Emergency Alert System Message, 13-month-old Chloe Clark was abducted from Varney in Mingo County. Chloe is a white female, 28-inches tall with brown hair and brown eyes.
She was last seen at her home on Sunday and may be "in extreme danger," according to the alert. Authorities believe the child was likely abducted by Crystal Clark Seigler, who authorities say is the wife of the deceased male. Seigler is 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs about 120 pounds and has green eyes and brown hair.
They may be traveling in a silver mini-van with North Carolina plates. Authorities were unclear what direction they may be traveling in.

Mingo Man Found Dead, Woman Charged; Woman and Child Still Missing
A family has been torn apart with a husband found dead, his wife wanted for murder and their baby girl caught in the middle.
The homicide investigation has now turned into a desperate search for the missing mom and child.
Waiting by the phone is all Gary Starr has done since his granddaughter, Crystal Seigler-Clark, and great-granddaughter, Chloe Clark, disappeared.
“We'd like to know where she's at,” Starr said. “We have no idea. We wished in some manner she'd notify us to let us know where she's at and if she's alright.”
Starr just returned from Tennessee, only to hear that Chloe’s father, David Clark, had been killed by two gun shots.
“The phone call came, and it just changes everything,” Starr said. “You just go into hysterics, as the saying goes.”
Now, Chloe and her mother are gone. Deputies are charging Seigler with David Clark's murder and they also suspect she abducted Chloe, so an amber alert was sent out Tuesday night. They say the two parents had joint custody of the child, but at least one of them was trying to change that.

An Amber Alert issued Tuesday night said Crystal Seigler Clark, 32, is accused of taking her daughter, Chloe Clark, from their home in Varney.
Clark also is wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of her husband, David Clark, who is Chloe's father, Mingo County sheriff's Chief James Smith said Wednesday.
