At 8:30pm PST on Sunday, August 22, 2010, Courtney vanished without a trace from Ellwood, CA.

We believe she was coerced and then abducted by a man who sexually assaulted her.

This page is created in her honor and for her friends, family and those who love her so that they may share the pain of their loss with each other.

We shall lean on one another until she returns, be that in the next hour, day, week, or year.

This is Bryce. I have spoken to Courtney. She is stranded in Mexico. We are working to bring her home, but we have no further information at this time. She is in a safe place. Keep us in your thoughts and I will keep you posted.

Just a quick update: I am coordinating efforts to bring Courtney home with the FBI, CHiPs and the State Department. The State Department is sending someone to Courtney's location within the next 48 hours to verify her condition. Repatriation to the United States should follow shortly after.
I'm all alone in this now and I appreciate all of your support and kindness. God knows I need it.

Courtney has declined to inform the State Department of her address. There is little else that can be done. It seems this was a near miss and she is not yet ready to come home. This is the kind of thing the experts warn you about. Welcome to the rollercoaster.

Apparently there has been contact made with Courtney, Her details are now restricted but she has not returned home from Mexico.

And to be honest I really have no idea what all that means.... I wouldn't have thought that a 15 year old girl could just choose to stay in a foreign country without her parents consent. There must be more to all this...

Thank you to everyone who has tried to help reunite Courtney and myself. Elizabeth has chosen to pretend that Courtney is no longer her daughter and did not raise her, and that we were never married. We all deal with pain differently. We're all hurt and damaged, but it is up to us to try make things better for the future. Towards that end, I will be returning to Santa Barbara as quickly as I can raise the money and get a divorce.

Our family as it existed has been destroyed, but we can always rebuild with those pieces that remain. Something better. Something stronger. Something that will last.

I never do anything right the first time. Thank you again for all your help and support. In the next few weeks, this page will be locked so it might stand as a testament to what has transpired in our lives.

I'm very confused about this case. She is no longer listed as missing on Missing Kids so is that enough that she has been located?

Not a site I am 100% familiar with.. So I don't know how accurate this information is... If anyone knows it to be a trustworthy site let us know and we can move Courtney's case to the recovered section..

I kind of thought it was but as I haven't relied on the site for information in the past I didn't want to end up with wrong info..

Due to Facebook posts made by her father we know Courtney had been located in Mexico some time ago but would not give up her whereabouts to the authorities. This Facebook page looks to have been deleted as I cannot find it. So it is plausible that she has been found..

I believe the website and message to be legitimate. and also the fact that the case no longer exists on the Missing Kids website.
