Police Believe Mother Kidnapped Child

ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich. -- Police are looking for a 7-year-old girl who was allegedly kidnapped by her 50-year-old mother Sunday.
Tami Helanna Deveroux was supposed to return Ashleigh Deveroux-Tucker to her father in St. Clair Shores Sunday, but the child and her mother have not been seen or heard from since.
Police said they believe Tami Deveroux is driving a rented gray 2007 Hyundai Tuscon, with Georgia license plate No. AWE-7529 out of the state.
Ashleigh Deveroux-Tucker is a white girl, about 4 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 50 pounds.
Relatives deny having contact with Tami Deveroux. Police said she has relatives in Detroit and the Bladenburo and Whiteville, N.C., area.
