Sara has been away from home since Sunday the 30th of July when she left her house in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (capital of Gran Canaria) on her way to La Ballena Shopping Centre by walk also in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria to meet a friend.
It seems to be that she never arrived to La Ballena Shopping Centre according to the security cameras, installed on the Shopping Centre
Since that moment there´s no news about her, and her mobile phone is not available.
The whole citizens of Canary Islands and all the authorities need the help of anyone if having any information about her.

Police Believe Sara Morales Disappeared Voluntarily
In a thousand calls to police, sightings have been claimed in UK, Morocco and Netherlands. Teams have visited and worked with police in these countries and have ruled out certain instances of girls seen with an adult.
A new search group has been set up consisting of 2 inspectors, 2 sub-inspectors and 3 officers claimed to be the cream of the National Police Corps and they will work alongside the existing team which has been working on the case since July last year.
The new recruits won't start from scratch, but will re-assess evidence and look for points perhaps missed and hope to open new lines of enquiry.

Still missing, still hoping - The search for Sara is stepped up
<snippet>
Some 300 chat room users are said to be being investigated, as well as those people with whom Sara and her girlfriend had come into personal contact with.
Among the list the police have come across a number of adults who had been passing themselves off as youngsters in chat rooms. They all denied any online acquaintance with Sara but checks of their computers have shown them to have been lying. Some have since claimed their denials were prompted by fear, others are still being checked against sex offenders’ registers. According to the police “there have been suspects and there still are” among the scores of chat room candidates.
Also under investigation are the thousand or so telephone calls from the general public claiming to have seen the missing girl in the UK, Holland and Morocco. Police officers have liaised with their opposite numbers in those countries to check on each possibility.
Meanwhile, for Sara’s mother, Nieves Hernández, the unbearable wait continues.

Isn't Gran Canaria close to Portugal, and didn't I read something a long time ago from one of our other sites that it is loaded with sexual predators? I may be wrong.
I really hope they find Sara and she left on her own free will and was never abused or hurt. Please Lord!

The investigation of the abduction attempt in the La Garita area is being co-ordinated by the Unit for Specialised Delinquency and Violence (UDEV) of the National Police, a section that was created a year and a half ago, following the disappearance of Sara Morales, aged 16. The police questioned the small girl who described the abduction attempt on the day it occurred, saying that her attacker has a “strong complexion, is dark haired, could be aged about 35 and drove a white van”.
The vehicle has been one of the factors that has increased the social alarm in Gran Canaria, as it has been implicated in other similar denunciations since the abduction of Yéremi Vargas, in Vecindario, on the 10th March of last year. Although the van is one of the most important clues in this case, the police do not have the numberplate, as nobody was able to remember the number in the cases where it was spotted, due to their state of nerves.
Five people were able to describe the van in question, the girl, her mother who rushed out to help her daughter when she heard her screams, a friend of the girl and two boys who were relatively close to Madreselva street, where the incident occurred.
The small girl was attacked on Friday evening, near to the square of the Yoñé headquarters. The abductor asked the girl if she knew where this site was and offered her five Euros if she would join him in the van. The girl indicated the address of the square but refused to get into the vehicle, upon which the driver got out of the van and tried to force her inside, he grabbed her around her neck with such force that visible marks were left, according to witness statements.
The girl struggled and shouted, alarming a friend who was nearby and her mother who heard her screams from inside her house and rushed out to look for her daughter. The arrival of the mother and the friend and two other witnesses caused the abductor to desist.

The Chief Commissioner of the Judicial police Brigade, Ignacio Bádenas has led the recent operations in Salinetas
The police, who have just left the scene, have removed part of the gardens that surround the main building.
Marcos J.R.C., the presumed author of the abduction attempt of a young girl in La Garita (Telde) last Friday, was taken this morning by police agents to an industrial ship situated in the Salinetas polygon where an animal incinerator operated until the ship was sealed off. Police officers have been at the site since 10.30 trying to collect evidence, from inside the incinerator as well as the from the surrounding area, from where they removed earth in the search for signs that could link the suspect with other possible cases, given that during last Friday’s events, little Sandra fortunately did not enter the man’s white van and neither was she taken anywhere.
Police are searching for remains close to the Salinetas crematorium
The ship has been sealed off for four years, but the incinerator was used for the last time two months ago and the man detained has a police record for sexual abuse.
Officers from the Police National Corps are at this moment searching for possible remains in the areas surrounding the industrial ship in Salinetas that includes the animal crematorium where Marcos R.C. the presumed author of last Friday’s attempted abduction worked. According to ACN Press, the man arrested has police records – although apparently not criminal records – for sexual abuse.
The scientific police are still checking the Salinetas crematorium where the author of the abduction attempt worked.
These are abandoned installations that are in a very poor state, where the Police are trying to find evidence or remains of the children who have disappeared lately in Gran Canaria-
The presumed abductor of the girl from La Garita will appear before the Court nº 2 of Telde this Friday.
The time for his appearance has not yet been established as this depends upon the latest investigations.

Marcos J.R. will appear before the Telde Court nº 2 at 16.30 this afternoon, whilst his house is still being searched.
The Scientific Police have not found bloodstains in the white van belonging to the arrested man nor have they found human remains in the Salinetas crematorium. They are still looking for evidence to link Marcos – the 37 year old detained for the presumed abduction attempt of Sandra Domínguez – to the disappearance of Sara Morales and Yéremi Vargas.

From ABC.es news:
The psychosis concerning the disappearance of children in Las Palmas is notable, given that the case of Yéremi Vargas joins that of Sara Morales Hernández, whose whereabouts are unknown since August of 2006. Because of this the abduction attempt in Telde of Sandra D.P. aged 8, increased the alarm in the island and the subsequent detention of a suspect by the Police immediately reminded people that the case of the small boy from Vecindario is still open.
No concrete proof
The possibility that the cases of Yéremi and Sandra are related was immediately discussed by those in charge of the searches, who began to work on this. Not because there is any concrete proof – simply there are new circumstances that should be investigated – but to clear all the doubts in this sense.
Yesterday morning the judge authorised searches of the detained man’s family house in Lugo de Las Palmas and of an old domestic animal crematorium situated in the Salineta industrial polygon, where it appears that this individual worked and used to sleep. In this conflictive zone he also had his group of friends. Sources confirmed that no evidence was found on the floor, whilst the inspection of the crematorium is much more complex due to it being an abandoned site where dead animals were brought, and therefore many samples can be found – such as bone or blood remains – which then have to be examined in order to determine whether they are human.
The work of the Scientific Police is also centred on the vehicles used by the suspect – a Ford Courier van and a Citroën Berlingo. It should be remembered that some witnesses spoke of the presence of a van on the day of Yéremi’s disappearance. Samples have also been taken from the detained man in order to obtain his DNA.
The results of these analyses and any subsequent matches will be known in approximately one week, and if no other evidence is found – Yéremi’s clothes, personal objects, a witness or a confession -–it will not be possible to confirm that the arrested man is implicated in the disappearance of the small boy from Vecindario. It is notable that the crematorium is located half way between Telde, where the abduction attempt occurred, and Vecindario, where Yéremi lives.
Evidence
The first task for the Police therefore, is to search for evidence that the man did in effect attempt to abduct Sandra, which is not easy given that in this case the testimony of the victim alone – she is only eight years old – could be insufficient for the judge to order the man’s imprisonment. However, it does appear that there is evidence to implicate him, as demonstrated by the fact that the judge ordered his detention and authorised the searches. In addition to the Police and the Civil Guard of Gran Canaria, the investigation has the participation of agents from the General Commissariat of Scientific Police, the Judicial Police and the Central Operative Unit of the Armed Institute.

A young girl from Vecindario who suffered an abduction attempt a year ago has just arrived at the Telde Court accompanied by her mother and two policemen. The girl will participate in the identification process of the presumed abductor of the little girl from La Garita.
A dozen police officers are guarding the entrance to the Telde Court where the presumed attacker of a young girl from La Garita is giving his declaration to the judge.
The interrogation could last for several hours and could be interrupted tonight to continue tomorrow morning, although sources close to the investigation hope that the interrogation will end this evening.
Police have searched a workshop in Puerto de la Luz where the detained man worked.
The analysis of evidence found in the Salinetas crematorium will be very laborious due to the dirty state of the site.
The presumed author of the abduction attempt kept dead animals in his house in the capital of Gran Canaria.

Alleged child kidnapper ordered to prison in Telde, Gran Canaria
The 37 year old construction worker was identifed in a line up by the ten year old Sandra Domínguez
The instruction judge in the First Instance Court number two in Telde on Gran Canaria, has ordered prison without bail for 37 year old Marcos Javier Rodríguez Cabrera, who was arrested last Thursday in connection with the attempted kidnap of a 10 year old girl, Sandra Domínguez.
Three young girls who have all suffered kidnap attempts took part in a police identification parade on Friday, and the police say they are investigating to see whether the arrested construction worker has any links to the Yeremi Vargas or Sara Morales cases, two children who have both been missing from the island for some time. Sandra’s father has told the press that his daughters hand did not tremble as she identified the accused.
The judge heard how the suspect allegedly tried to lure Sandra Domínguez into his van with five Euros. Sandra however struggled with her assailant and managed to escape, when she alerted her mother, who in turn alerted the police.
The judge questioned Marcos for five hours.
The suspect now faces charges of attempted kidnap, illegal possession of a firearm and the theft of vehicle. A search of his home was carried out and his workplace, an old pet crematorium, was also inspected.
A specialist anthropologist has been called in to identify bones found at the scene, to establish whether they come from animals or humans.

Re: SARA MORALES HERNANDEZ - Las Palmas/Gran Canaria (Spain) - 30/07/06
This is a translation I made off the German link at the bottom of the post.
Gran Canaria - The families of two missing children Yeremi and Sara is a sad and tryst before Christmas - From Yeremi, missing for 21 months, there has been no trace, Sara has been missing for nearly 2 years and 5 months.
Gran Canaria, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria - For parents, siblings and family members of Sara Morales it is the third Christmas without Sara. The girl, which disappeared without trace on July 30, 2006 at about 16:30 on the way to the Centro Comercial La Ballena in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, is now missed greatly by the whole family. Sara's 12 years old cousin Patricia said a few days ago to her parents: "without Sara, there is no Christmas for me." Even the 8-year-old brother of the missing girl is aware that someone is missing. As Alba celebrated his birthday few weeks ago, he told his mother: "I will not tell you what I wish for; otherwise my wish may not come true." The little boy did not need to speak his desire out loud; everyone in the family knew that Alba’s biggest desire was the return of his big sister. Besides Patricia and Alba Sara is also being missed by the twins Pedro and Andrea (10 years). The whole family sadly has another sad Christmas before them - The third Christmas without Sara!
Also in Vecindario, the shopping city in the southeast of the holiday island of Gran Canaria, there is a family, this year a sad Christmas is imminent. The 8-year-old Yeremi Vargas Suárez, who disappeared without trace on March 10, 2007 (IslaCanaria.Net reported), is now painfully missed by his parents, his little brother and his whole family. A real Christmas will probably not be possible for Yeremis family members. Milagros Suárez, the aunt of the missing 8-year Yeremi, always responsible for the organization of family celebrations, said in an interview with a Canarian TV channel: "Of course, the children will get presents at Nochebuena (Christmas Eve) and Reyes (hl.3 Kings), but we cannot celebrate Christmas properly. “

Mothers of missing children come together as there is still no news of Marta from Sevilla
(snippet)
Nieves Hernández, Ithaisa Suárez and Audrey Fitzpatrick say they want to create a new platform so that their children are not forgotten. The mother of Sara admitted that Christmas had been a difficult time for her, and she had been depressed of late, but that joining with the other mothers was a source of strength for her. All three women are convinced their children are still alive.

In the pit where Sara Morales sought no human remains
Police stop looking at the well Jinámar
A GOOGLE TRANSLATION
The area where these remains were found is one of the "points" marked by research conducted by the National Police to try to locate Sara Morales, who was 14 when she disappeared.
Sara Morales's family has lived a difficult weeks, full of uncertainty, tension, mood, sadness and somehow, hope. Everything fell apart yesterday morning when investigating officer confirmed that skeletal remains found last week in the well of Jinámar (Gran Canaria), are not human.
One avenue of investigation last week led them to a well inside of an abandoned past century mansion that was first a farm farm in the eighties and was used for construction-related jobs. Inside, managed to capture some images of what could be human remains. But seven days later confirmed that the size and characteristics of the bones found discarded that could treat the remains of Sara Morales, who was 14 when she disappeared in July 2006.
The upper head Islands Police, Concepción de Vega, explained that it had been possible to salvage some remnant of the bottom hole bone covered with mud, "We found a number of objects to be investigated, among which are some minor bones size than we expected which will also be sent for analysis.
De Vega was also unable to say whether the remains found are consistent with the image of an underwater camera which could be seen in what appeared to be a femur, an image from which they launched the special device for removing the downhole of possible human remains.
He said it closed the investigation into the well and has proceeded to seal because there are between 80 centimeters and 1.20 meters of water and mud and "there is enough space for any remains of any human body '.
The search work of Sara Morales and Yeremi Vargas continue their course work outside the police carried out these days in the well of Jinámar.
Chronology
- Sara Morales vanished on July 30, 2006 as he drove to the mall 'The Whale'.
- On Friday of last week, in the course of investigating the case, a police underwater camera acquired images of what could be human remains.
- The continuous influx of water from the well by several galleries exceedingly difficult work and not allowed to recover the remains yesterday morning.
