Danielle ran away from home in Hemel Hempstead on 3rd August 2007. She had a history of staying away from home for a night or two but this time she has stayed away, and has since been spotted on the streets of London.

For her father Terry, these sightings are cold comfort and he is making this appeal for Danielle to come home for Christmas:

“Danielle, just come back. We love you very much, the whole family misses you. We just want to know that you are safe, and we want you to be back for Christmas.”

Mum's plea to Danielle

THE Sheffield mum of a teenage girl missing from home has described the 10 weeks since she disappeared as a "living hell".

Danielle Nightingale, who has turned 15 in the two and a half months since she was last seen, went missing from her home in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, in August.

Now, following a sighting of her in Sheffield city centre last week, her mum Liza Martin, who lives in Gresley Road, Low Edges, has made an emotional appeal for her to make contact.

Appealing directly to Danielle through The Star, she begged: “Please, please get in touch with your mum.”

Danielle was spotted in the city centre on Friday October 8. Since then, Liza, aged 37, has been putting up posters in Sheffield and creating a Myspace website for Danielle in the hope there will be more information.

Danielle went missing from her home, where she lived with dad Terry, step-mum Joanna, step-brother Peter and half-brother Owen, on August 3.

The teenager is around 5ft 6ins, slim with long light brown hair and blue eyes.

Missing teenager found

Missing Hemel Hempstead youngster Danielle Nightingale has been found safe and well.

The teenage runaway's dad, Terry Nightingale, was reuinted with his daughter last night after not seeing her since August last year.

Danielle, 15, was found in Margate and will return home to her family in Leverstock Green over the next couple of days.

Terry said: "The call was completely unexpected. We're just so relieved she's back and having spoken to her we feel so much better now we know she's been safe while she's been gone.

"It was good to see her, she looks exactly how she did when she left."

Fantastic news, I'm so emotional today. This is great, great news. Thanks Merly. What a relief for the family.

Danielle is taking part in an appeal with her family for the Missing People charity, who are shortlisted as part of 8 charities to be voted for by colleagues at Deutsche Bank. They could be inline for £200,000 for the charity. What a difference that could make!

People need our help right now.

Missing People has just reunited Jo, Terry (and little Owen) with their runaway daughter after six months. Danielle, aged just 15, was missing and in a terribly vulnerable situation. Now reunited, Jo Nightingale says: “Missing People's help raising awareness about Danielle's disappearance gave us the best chance of finding her, as well as knowing that the charity was there 24/7 if we ever needed to talk to someone.”
