Amber Alert canceled, baby found dead
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- An Amber Alert for a missing two-month baby has been canceled, after investigators say they found the child's body. The mother is now the suspect in the case.
The situation started Wednesday afternoon when the mother, Narjas Golabbakhsh, said a man jumped out of a car and grabbed her baby, Masih, out of his stroller as she walked at Briar Bend Park off Woodway.
The 27-year-old mother had even given a description of the alleged suspect. But police say after several hours of interrogation, investigators say the mother changed her story and told them she had dumped the baby. Investigators say the mother led authorities to the body around 2am.

Infant's Body Found after Amber Alert
Officers considered the possibility that the child was the victim of an accidental death and searched the banks of Buffalo Bayou.
A neighbor helped provide light sources as investigators were searching for the baby's body. Investigators later found the body partially covered in leaves at the bottom of a staircase in the neighbor's home.
No charges have been filed yet against the child's mother.
Autopsy results are pending to determine how the baby died.

The infant's mother, Narjes Modarresi, has been charged with capital murder in the death of little Misoh Golabbakhsh.
Modarresi originally told police that her baby was abducted Wednesday after a man snatched him from his stroller in the 8000 block of Woodway.
An Amber Alert was issued for the baby boy Wednesday evening.
Police said Modarresi later admitted she lied about the kidnapping and led them to a wooded area near Buffalo Bayou. They found the baby's body early Thursday.
The autopsy showed the baby died from asphyxiation. His lungs, stomach and airway were filled with mud and water, indicating he was alive when he was put face-down in the mud.
