Police entered a house where they believed the children were being held by their father. The father shot the hildren.

The 10-year-old-boy named Deyan was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

His 12-year-old sister, Danyela, was airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, where she was listed in stable condition Tuesday.

"Missing children,"

Missing children is about two children that got abducted by a man named Predrag Perisic, a non custodial father. A girl named Danyela Perisic and a boy named Deyan Perisic were taken in Laporte Texas on October 12, 2010.

...... Missing kids: Two missing children have been abducted by a man named Predrag Perisic in La Porte Texas on October 26, 2010. The oldest child at age twelve was taken by her non- custodial father along with her brother Deyan. Danyela has brown hair and brown eyes, her weight is 138 and her ears are pierced. The boy Deyan is a ten year old male with blue eyes and brown hair and is 5”1.

According to the parents, a felow warrant was issued for pedrag on November 5, 2010 and they might be traveling to Canada or Serbia. The custodial father, Predrag, is 5”10 and he’s 200 pounds with grey hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a tattoo of the letter ‘p’ on his thumb.

The parents are both very nervous for there children and are hoping that they are safe and that they will come back as soon as possible. When the children hopefully come back, the man will pay and get pressed charges for abducting the two children.

Brother says dad accused of shooting kids in Coldspring was 'a man of his word'

A 54-year-old father was behind bars in San Jacinto County Tuesday after investigators say he shot his two children, killing his 10-year-old son.

On Monday, Pedrag Perisic finally went through with a threat he’d been making for some time, his identical twin brother said.

“My brother was a man of his word,” said Nenad Perisic.

Pedrag Perisic is accused of shooting his children, who were at the center of a bitter custody battle with his ex-wife. Nenad Perisic said his brother wanted to reconcile.

The couple met in Canada.

“He told her a couple of months ago, ‘if you don’t get together, you know what I’m going to do the kids, they can go over my dead body to Montreal.’ He didn’t want to let the kids go back to Montreal,” Nenad Perisic said.

According to an attorney representing the children’s mother, 12-year-old Danyela Perisic and 10-year-old Deyan Perisic were reported missing on Oct. 26 after their father failed to return them from a custody visit.

For the last six weeks, the attorney said the mother tried to get her ex-husband to return the children, to no avail.

Meanwhile, Perisic was staying with the children at a friend’s house in Coldspring.

On Monday, law enforcement officers from the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Department, the Texas Attorney General’s Office and other agencies served a custody warrant at the home. Deputies made their way to the second floor after entering the home, but as they searched, they heard gunshots coming from the back of the house.

Deputies found Danyela and Deyan shot and arrested their father.

Danyela was airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where she remained Tuesday in stable condition.

Deyan was rushed to the emergency room in Livingston, where he was pronounced dead.

“My heart is bleeding,” said Nenad Perisic. “It’s a tragic story and I don’t wish that (anybody) experiences that.”

The children moved from Canada last year and lived with their parents and their uncle in La Porte.

Ex-Montrealer charged with murder in death of son in Texas

A 54-year-old man involved in a child custody dispute has been charged with murder in the shootings of his two children in Texas, one of them fatal.

Predrag Perisic, who was supposed to return the children to their mother in Montreal, had previously had been charged with interfering with child custody in Harris County, Texas.

Police said they were climbing to the second floor of his home north of Houston when they heard gunshots, according to a statement from the sheriff's office. Inside they found Perisic and his two wounded children.

The 10-year-old-boy named Deyan was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

His 12-year-old sister, Danyel, was airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, where she was listed in stable condition Tuesday.

Montreal man shot his two children: Texas police‎

A 55-year-old former Montreal man has been arrested after police in Texas said he shot his two children, killing one of them.

Predrag Perisic was charged Monday in his 10-year-old son’s murder. Perisic’s 12-year-old daughter remains in hospital with several bullet wounds.

Police said the shooting near Houston was likely linked to a custody battle.

Father charged in shooting of Montreal children‎

A former Montreal man has been charged with murder after his son and daughter were shot at his home in Texas.

Predrag Perisic has been charged in connection to the death of his son, 10-year-old Deyan, who died Monday in Coldspring, near Houston.

Deyan's 12-year-old sister, Danyela, is recovering in hospital from gunshot wounds.

The San Jacinto County Sheriff's Department said the shooting happened Monday when officers were entering the home to arrest Perisic on charges of child custody interference.

Police heard gunshots from the second floor and found two children bleeding.

Both children were transported to hospital, where Deyan was pronounced dead and Danyela was listed in stable condition.

'System failed in many ways,' lawyer says‎

Jurisdictional concerns in a child-custody case won out over the best interests of two Montreal children, one of whom was shot to death and the other shot and seriously wounded Monday in Texas, a lawyer for the children’s mother said.

“The system failed in many ways,” said Montreal lawyer Jonathan Shulak, who is representing Vera Vucerakovich, the Montreal mother of two who was in a protracted custody battle with her husband before Monday’s shooting near Houston.

Deyan Perisic, 10, was shot to death and his sister Danyela Perisic, 12, was shot repeatedly in her arms and legs before police arrested their father, Predrag Perisic, 55. He is now in prison facing several charges, including murder and attempted murder.

Girl shot 8 times trying to protect brother: Lawyer‎

A 12-year-old Montreal girl was riddled with bullets as she tried in vain to shield her younger brother from an attack that killed the boy and led to their father’s arrest on murder charges in Texas.

Danyela Perisic somehow survived the shooting north of Houston on Monday, but her brother, 10-year-old Deyan Perisic, was pronounced dead in hospital. Predrag Perisic, 54, faces a murder charge after the cross-border custody battle ended in violence in the town of Coldspring.

The mother’s defense lawyer, Jonathan Shulak, said the girl has had two surgeries.

“I don't know (her) exact condition,” he told QMI Agency on Wednesday. “I know that apparently, he shot his daughter eight times. She was trying to protect her brother.”

Legal system blamed after Montreal children shot in Texas‎

A day after news surfaced that two children were shot, one fatally, in Texas, the lawyer of their Montreal mother aimed his derision at the legal system.

“The system failed in many ways,” Jonathan Shulak said Wednesday, arguing the jurisdictional wranglings of an international child custody case took precedence over the best interests of the two Montreal youngsters.

Deyan Perisic, 10, was killed Monday after being shot at a residence just outside of Houston. His sister Danyela, 12, was severely wounded when grazed by as many as eight bullets. The children’s father, 55-year-old Pedrag Perisic, is facing charges of murder and attempted murder.

Their mother, Vera Vucerakovich, flew to Houston Tuesday.

Reached at the hospital where her daughter came out of a second surgery Wednesday, Vucerakovich, 46, said she had been emotionally and physically abused by her husband during different points in their marriage. “But I didn’t ever think he would take out his anger against me and my family on the children.”
