It´s so frightening thinking they know he arrived by watching CCTV but then like he has vanished from the earth. Where can he be? Something must have happened to him

Thanks to Sk (For Madeleine) for this update:
BBC Appeal for missing Andrew Gosden
Father's plea to find gifted son
Mr Gosden, a speech and language therapist, said: "He is a very bright, quiet, polite and thoughtful lad.
"We can't think of any reason why he would need to run away from something. It is completely inexplicable from that point of view."
Andrew's mother Glenys, 43, and sister Charlotte, 16, have visited London trying to chase up sightings passed on by police.
Mr Gosden said: "His school is brilliant. It is one of the best schools in the UK and they are very supportive.
"He is bright but they try to stretch the best kids. But my best guess is that he has got back to school and thought 'this stuff is really dull, I'll just go and do something exciting'."
He added: "I am confident that he knows his way around and knows how to look after himself during the day but I am anxious about what he is doing at night.
"If I had a message for him I would say don't be afraid to get in touch and if you are, just go through missing persons.
"I don't care how he gets in contact, we just want to know that he is in one piece."
Andrew is described as 5ft 3in, slim, with straight brown

Missing Andrew
The super-bright pupil, who is heading for a string of A* GCSEs, took more than £200 from his bank account and was spotted heading to London on a train.
A worried father today appealed to his missing teenage son to get in touch - a month after he vanished. Andrew disappeared on September 14th after failing to turn up at school in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.
There have been various possible sightings of him in areas of the capital, but he has failed to get in contact with family or friends.
His father, Kevin, 41, said: "We still believe he is in London but we have had absolutely no contact with him whatsoever. I spent last weekend in London distributing leaflets and visiting places where he might be.''
"A lot of my family live in London. It's familiar to him. It's a big exciting place. Because we have no clear or proven sightings of him it is very difficult to know where to look.''

Search for missing teenager stepped up with poster campaign across London
THE face of a missing Yorkshire teenager is being put on the side of refuse lorries in two London boroughs in the latest attempt to find him.
He had taken £200 from his savings account, but left no clue as over why he disappeared. Now charity Missing People – www.missingpeople.org.uk – has launched a publicity campaign in an attempt to find 12 missing people, including Andrew.
Posters urging them to get in touch are now on the
sides of City and Borough Waste vehicles. The poster campaign also marks the launch of a £1.4m fund-raising initiative.
"Andrew we love you" – read a full interview with Glenys Gosden in the Yorkshire Post's Life and Style today.

hi, in responce to the comment below, i will attempt to explain Andrew's tastes more fully.
he was srongly influenced by me being older, and i am indeed into the goth scene ( as you say, black hair and clothes, pale face and eyeliner) but i do have a more diverse music taste. Andy liked a lot of the same things which are admittedly mainly metal (Marilyn Manson, HIM, Slipknot etc.) but his dress sense ranged from gothic (baggy trousers, chains and pins) to metal (hoodies and skinny black jeans) so i cudn't say he belonged strictly to one culture or another. the problem is he was still discovering his identity, he was growig his hair longer to form an image and had talked about dying it but wasn't sure enough yet.
i hope that makes things clearer for those looking for Andrew, if there are more questions please feel free to post them and i will get back to you.
thank you.

hi,
in response to the very generous offers below, we would like to say that all help in publicising Andrew's disappearance is very welcome, we would be very grateful to anyone willing to help by putting up missing posters. Thank you
Also, we were advised by the police at an early stage to put more money into his account, so that if he tried to take any out, he could be tracked. we did this and unfortunately he has not returned to his account as he would have been aware that using an ATM is traceable. Thank you for your thoughts though, we appreciate people's ideas.

Thanks for that Ewe. Have been wondering is there any chance of a photo of him without glasses? May be harder to recognise. Just a thought. It is a very worrying case but there is always hope.

This is such a sad case as so baffling. I think of Andrew often as want to try and figure out what could have happened. Thanks for the article Ewe, is very interesting and a useful tool to campaign for change for missing kids immediately after going missing.
We have a "gothic meet-up" here in Ireland and hundreds and hundreds of kids meet up for it every Saturday. I can't help wondering if he has got off the academic pressure train as a gifted child and intelligent enough to do something else. I'm sure many of us are worrying about his safety at this stage. Just say you're safe is a good step forward.
