Police appeal for information on missing 13 yr old.


Missing girl – Deddington, Banbury

Police are appealing for help from the public to trace a 13-year-old girl missing from her home near Banbury.

Tessa Stephens was last seen at 4pm on Wednesday (16/7) leaving her home in Deddington on a purple bike.

She is white, average build, 5ft 3ins. Tessa has links to Marston in Oxford and goes to the Harlow Centre.

PC Denise Trafford, Missing Persons Co-ordinator for Oxford, said: “Tessa hasn’t been in contact with any of her friends or family since she was last seen on Wednesday and her family are very concerned for her welfare. I would urge her to get in touch with her family or the police as soon as possible on 0845 8 505 505.”

Alternatively, if you don’t want to speak to police or leave your name, call the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Tessa Stephens, 14, was last seen on Wed­nesday leaving her home in Deddington, Oxfordshire, on a purple mountain bike.

Thames Valley Police said: “It is totally out of character for Tessa to go missing and we are very keen for her to get in touch.”

The 5ft 5in teenager walks with a limp and has brown hair. She was wearing dark jeans, a black hooded top and black ballet-style shoes when she disappeared. Meanwhile, the father of missing university chef Claudia Lawrence yesterday appeal­­ed to anyone protecting her ­possible abductor to come forward.

Looking “drained and emp­­ty” Peter Lawrence made an emotional plea from his home in Slingsby, North Yorkshire, nearly three weeks after the 35-year-old disappeared in York.

Mr Lawrence said he understood there were no clues as to his daughter’s whereabouts but believed she may have been taken by someone she knew.

But is this not the same teenage girl that went missing in Jully 2008?
I have taken the cxase out of our 'happy place' and merged the two topics here in Runaways. How can this be out of character when she has gone missing before? That is just crazy!

I'm confused, I merged the two topics earlier and thought I had put this case in Runaways.
I justfound it again in Recoveries. Did I not move it properly or did someone else move this?
Anyway, I have now put it back in Runaways, hope she is found soon.

As far as I know I didn't move it to recoveries!!

I did add some new info and a photo!!

I moved a couple of other cases to recovery today!!

She was found last summer



Missing girl found - Deddington

A 13-year-old girl who went missing from her home in Deddington on Wednesday (16/7) has been found safe and well.

Tessa Stephens was found in Oxford on Saturday (19/7) and was returned home.

Police would like to thank the media with their assistance in this matter.

Thank you for posting the Pres Release by Thames Valley Police Tamisin. The link posted on an earlier post no longer works. So it confirms that Tessa did indeed go missing in the Summer of last year and was found locally. Lets hope she is found soon.

Missing girl found safe and well

Tessa Stephens had been missing since 1 April

A 14-year-old girl who went missing from her home in Oxfordshire for a week has been found safe and well.
Tessa Stephens, from Banbury, had not been seen since 1 April. Police carried out searches in the Banbury and Kineton areas.

There were two reported sightings of the teenager, who has pink train track braces on her teeth and walks with a limp.

Tessa was found at about 2230 GMT on Tuesday. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/oxfordshire/7989901.stm

Thank god for that!! Very Happy Glad she has been found! Hope they can get to the bottom of whats making her run away.
