Sentence

Thomas Smith was jailed for a minimum of 32 years for raping and murdering 10 year-old Holy Fallon and murdering her mother, Diane

He will spend a minimum of 32 years in prision before parole is considered.

The presiding judge, Lord Turnbull said it was up to the parole board to decide if Smith is ever released from prison.
