In March 2009 Charles' case was removed from Missing People website. They ask that all enquiries are now made directly through the police.

However Charles is still listed as missing on Missing Kids Website...

Contact with Missing Kids brought to light that he had already been abducted previously and returned from Japan, no other details were provided at the time other than he was missing.

There was no confirmation of the Case Type provided.

Some new information on this case has come our way..

The facts as stated by David Watkinson (father of Charles).

The facts are:

March 06: Akemi Higashisaka, born 02 Feb 1966 mother of Charles Watkinson was awarded custody of Charles at the High Court (despite the fact he had lived with his father for a year and he had been his sole provider and carer
April 06: Akemi Higashisaka took him to Japan supposedly to visit her sick Father
April 06: She did not return, and Mr Watkinson discovered via contact with the police and British Consulate in Osaka, Japan, that the flight numbers/address/ contact numbers given to him were false
April 06: He contacted the Met police who visited her address in Crystal Palace, London (two weeks later after being threatened with an official complaint). They discovered that she had cleared out her flat some weeks previously. It seems that she did visit Japan, but returned on an earlier flight with the intention of disappearing with Charles.
May 06: Mr Watkinson made an application to the High Court, and Charles was made a ward of court. If found it is likely that the court / police will want to speak to my Akemi Higashisaka as she likely committed purjury when she gave testimony to the High Court in Mar 06 (it later transpired that she was in a relationship with another man and was 3 months pregnant)
Subsequent to May 06: Mr Watkinson obtained an order for publicity and ensured that Charles was listed on the Missing Kids and persons website and Interpol with some assistance from the Met police
