CHEHALIS, Wash. -- An Amber Alert has been issued for a 4-year-old boy who was abducted by his father in Chehalis Tuesday morning, Chehalis police said.

Amber Alert issued for boy abducted from women's shelter in Chehalis, Wash.

An Amber Alert was issued today for a child who was snatched from his mother at a Chehalis, Wash. counseling center this morning. Police suspect the boy’s biological father in the abduction.

The Chehalis Police Department said that the boy, 4-year-old Jacek Reed, may have been injured when he was thrown into a car. It said that a friend of the mother was hit by the vehicle in the course of the abduction.

The boy was taken about 9:15 a.m., police said. He’s white, stands 3-foot-1 and weighs 44 pounds, with blue eyes, short-cropped brown hair and a red mark under his left eye. He was wearing a blue-gray Mario T-shirt, blue flannel jacket, blue jeans and blue boots when he was kidnapped.

It’s not clear what happened at the shelter, which was not named. The Amber Alert said the abduction happened at the Human Response Network, a domestic violence counseling center at 125 N.W. Chehalis Ave.

The suspect, 35-year-old Dustin Reed, is 5-foot-9, weighs 160 pounds and has brown hair and blue eyes. Police said Reed may be taking anti-depressants.

AMBER alert canceled; Soldier accused of taking son found‎

An AMBER alert that had been issued in Washington state for a Fort Knox soldier accused in the abduction his son has been canceled. Chehalis, WA Police were looking for 34-year-old Dustin Reed.

On March 1, police say Reed took his four-year-old son, Jacek, from a women's shelter around 9:15 a.m. Pacific time. The child may have been injured as he was put into the getaway car.

According to Chehalis Police, Reed is a Fort Knox resident who is on military leave from the post.

Police say the father and son were found safe in Bonney Lake, WA.

Amber Alert called off after 4-year-old found in Washington‎

Authorities found a man who snatched his son from his mother's arms, threw him in a car and then sped off towards Interstate 5 following a Tuesday morning confrontation outside a Chehalis, Wash. counseling center where the woman had gone to seek help in getting a restraining order.

An Amber Alert had been issued and throughout the day authorities had been looking for Dustin Reed, 35, and his son, Jacek Reed, 4, who hit his head on the car after he was snatched.

The father and son were located Tuesday afternoon about 70 miles north of Chehalis near Bonney Lake. The boy was unharmed. His father was taken into custody.

Ft. Knox Soldier Arrested After Kidnapping Incident‎

Police say they took a Ft. Knox soldier into custody in Washington state after he kidnapped his 4-year-old son.....

.... Police located Reed and his son within a few hours, utilizing a cell phone trace. Witnesses say Jacek was injured during the incident, but police have not said how seriously he or the woman hit by the vehicle were hurt.
