Cops: Missing Infant could be in danger‎

Indiana State Police issued an Amber Alert just after 10 p.m. Monday after Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department began investigating a child’s disappearance Monday morning.

IMPD says Sha’niya Harden, a 9-month-old, was abducted from an Indianapolis daycare by her mother, Shyane Harden, just after 10 a.m. Monday. Police believe Sha-niya may be in danger.

Police say Shyane lost her custodial rights to the child’s grandparents and should not have custody of the child.

Police say Shyane has prior convictions for prostitution and neglect of a dependent and may be heading to Florida. Police caution Hoosiers saying Shyane may be carrying a small pink and black gun.

Officers say the little girl needs four doses of two different medicines each day; both of her medicines were left behind.

The mother, Shyane Harden, is 19 years old, 5 feet tall, about 110 pounds with brown hair, brown eyes and a tattoo of “Lil Momma” on her neck. She also has piercings on the left eye, lips and ears.

Police: Indianapolis kidnapping suspect could travel through Kentucky‎

Authorities are searching for a mother who is accused of abducting her baby girl from an Indianapolis day care on Monday and could be headed through Kentucky.

Indianapolis police believe 9-month-old Shaniya Harden is in extreme danger after likely being taken by her biological mother, Shayne Harden, 19.
Shayne Harden is described as 5 feet tall and weighing 100 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, according to Indianapolis Police.
Harden has piercings on her ears and the left side of her lips as well as a tattoo that says “Lil Mama” on her neck, police said.
There is no vehicle information, but police believe Harden may be on her way to an unknown location in Florida.
Anyone with information on Harden is asked to call toll-free (888) 58-AMBER.

Police locate missing baby‎

Police say they have located the 10 month old baby taken from her daycare.

The girl, Sha'niya Harden, was found with her mother in an apartment at 42nd and Post Road on the city's northeast side early Tuesday morning. She is said to be safe, her mother is now in custody.

Police say the mother, 19-year-old Shyane Harden, took Sha'niya from the "Little Dreamers Child Care" around 10am Monday morning. The daycare operates out of a house located near 39th and Pendleton Pike.

Shyane Harden recently lost custody of her daughter. The girl's grandparents have legal custody.

Police found Shyane Harden's car during their search Monday night, but there was no sign of either mother or daughter. Concerns about the girl's safety sparked an Amber Alert.
