DANYELA PERISIC 12 - La Porte, Texas (USA) - 26/10/10

Danyela was reported missing along with her brother Deyan (10) by their mother on 26 October 2010.

The children were not returned to their mother after a visit with their non custodial father.

On the 14 of December 2010 the police entered a house where they believed the children were being held by their father, the father opened fire on the children Killing Deyan and injuring Danyela. It is believed that Danyela tried to shield her younger brother from the bullets, Deyan died and according to reports Danyela ended up being shot 8 times!!!

Police said they were climbing to the second floor of his home north of Houston when they heard gunshots, according to a statement from the sheriff's office. Inside they found Perisic and his two wounded children.

The 10-year-old-boy named Deyan was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

His 12-year-old sister, Danyel, was airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, where she was listed in stable condition Tuesday.
