HPD searching for missing Houston girl‎



Police on Thursday were searching for a missing 12-year-old Houston girl.

Alantria Jones, who also goes by "AJ" or "Noree," was last seen on Monday, January 24, wearing a black coat, a green school shirt and tan shorts.

Her mother said she last saw her daughter when she kissed her goodbye that morning, assuming she was headed off to school.

"I said, ‘I love you and I want you to have a good day.’ And she said, ‘OK mama, I love you too and have a good day,’" Candace Johnson said.

But school wasn’t in the plans for the sixth-grader that day. Police and Johnson believe Alantria may have headed downtown on a bus, to meet boys she had met on a chat line. That information came from some of her friends.

Alantria’s mother said her daughter didn’t take any of her belongings – like medication or clothes—with her.

Missing Houston girl found safe

HOUSTON—A missing 12-year-old Houston girl was found safe, her family said Friday.

Alantria Jones, who also goes by “AJ” or “Noree,” had been last seen on Monday, Jan. 24. as she was headed off to school, her mother said.

Her family did not say where she was found.
