Tayside Police is becoming increasingly concerned for 13-year-old Michaela Hunter who has been missing from her home in Dundee's Yeamans Lane since 12.30pm on Monday 19 April.

Michaela is around 5ft in height, of slim build, with brown eyes and long brown hair. She was last seen wearing black trousers, a white shirt, a black cardigan, and a grey and pink coloured jacket.

A Spokeswoman for Tayside Police said,

‘’Michaela is known to frequent the Menzieshill and Charleston areas of Dundee. It is highly likely that some of her friends in the area are providing her with shelter. They need to know that by doing so they are committing an offence.

‘’We need to make sure that Michaela is safe. No matter how ‘streetwise’ a person thinks they are, when a 13-year-old girl has not been in touch with their mother since Monday, it is always concerning. I would like to make a direct appeal to Michaela to get in touch with us.

‘’I must stress that Michaela isn’t in any kind of trouble. Our primary concern is her safety.’’

Anyone who has seen Michaela since Monday afternoon, or anyone who knows her current whereabouts, should get in touch with Tayside Police on 0300 111 2222 0300 111 2222 or speak to any police officer.

Police plea to missing teenager Michaela‎
A team of around 20 officers is now involved in the hunt for a missing 13-year-old Dundee girl

And police today made a direct appeal to Michaela Hunter to get in touch with them.
Michaela, went missing from her home in Yeamans Lane on Monday at 12.30 pm.

As officers carried out interviews with school friends this afternoon, they warned anyone providing shelter to the teen is committing an offence.

Concern is growing for Michaela, a pupil at the city’s St John’s High School, where police have set up an incident caravan.

Missing Person - Michaela Hunter

Officers searching for missing 13-year Michaela Hunter will be at St Johns High School in Dundee this afternoon in the hope that some of her class mates might have information as to where she might be.

A poster has also been produced appealing for information as to her whereabouts.

Michaela has been missing from her home in Dundee’s Yeamans Lane since 12.30pm on Monday 19 April.

Frustration in looking for Michaela‎

POLICE IN Dundee last night said they were increasingly concerned about finding 13-year-old Michaela Hunter—and expressed frustration at being “fed deliberately misleading” information regarding her whereabouts.

They think it is highly likely that she is being given shelter by friends and urged them to give her up.

Officers spoke to Michaela’s classmates and friends at St John’s High School yesterday, hoping that someone would know something and speak up.

The distraught mother of a missing 13-year-old Dundee girl today begged her daughter to come home Michaela Hunter has been missing from Yeamans Lane for five days and her family are desperate to hear from her.
Worried mum Audrey Reid today made a direct appeal to her daughter, saying, “Please come home, Michaela.
“I love you and want you back safe and sound. Everyone is worried sick. There is nothing that you can’t talk to me about and you are not in any trouble.”
