Tracy Police Search For Missing 8-Year-Old Girl

Search for Missing Tracy Girl


TRACY, Calif. (KCBS) -- Tracy police were searching Saturday for an eight-year-old girl missing since Friday afternoon.
Sandra Cantu was last seen at the Orchard Estates Mobile Home Park where a security camera recorded her image about 4 p.m., said Police Sgt. Tony Sheneman.

A search began Friday night and continued Saturday with more than 50 volunteers who assisted the police department, county sheriff’s department, the highway patrol, the FBI and members of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. They went door to door canvassing neighbors, as well as scouring nearby parks and schools.

FBI agents also checked all vehicles entering and leaving the mobile home park which is less than half a mile from Highway 580.

Authorities say there is no evidence of an abduction at this point.
