The search for Marta del Castillo is strengthened with the use of Madrid Police- Seville

Government Representative statement at a media conference about the search for Marta: " There is intense Police activity searching for Marta, hoping she is safe and sound". The Guardia Civil of Andalucia & the National Police are working together. They ask if there is any information relating to the teenager known to you, to please offer this to them"

Also they expressly asked for co-operation of all citizens of Seville and wish to publicly thank those who are currently helping. If there is any detail you know, however small, it may be of extreme importance to the investigation, although may appear trivial to you, please pass it on to the investigation.

At this time, the Police have proceeded in examining the house of Miguel, the friend who accompanied Marta to the corner of her house and are also interviewing him.

Marta's computer is being examined by the Police IT team. With respect to this, the National Police have obtained some information that they constitute " a help" from it.

The Police are also working on the witness account ( a neighbour) of the last possible movements of Marta. This neighbour claims there was a scream between 9.30pm & 10pm on Saturday night coming from the porch area of the family home. At this stage, the Police wish to express the fact they are not sure if Marta left voluntarily or by force. They will not eliminate any hypothesis.

All Police forces & Guardia Civil are collaborating with the family at this time.It is noted that the family are getting counselling as "are in a very bad way".

Spokesperson of Marta's family said" Marta is no trouble, she is the type of girl who would ask when we would want her home. We must stay positive. We don't want to think of any other scenario. Your parents, your sisters, your family live in hope"

" We have gone through all possibilities, some very low ones but we hope "that it is something childish, that something happened, that she was asked to go somewhere, perhaps with a boy.We can say though that we know Marta well & we don't believe this is what happened and that is our fear"

Still no sign of missing Seville girl

Another name, another photo. Missing. Marta del Castillo, 17, was last seen near her home in the Tharsis area of the city of Seville at around half past nine on Saturday night. A friend, Miguel, had walked her almost to her front door and she ran the remaining 35 metres home. A neighbour remembers saying hello to her as she approached her door. But she never went in. She was wearing jeans, a white polo shirt and a brown jacket.

The authorities are working with two possibilities: that she has been taken against her will or that she ran away voluntarily. However her family think she has been abducted; she was carrying no more than ten euros and had no credit cards or spare clothes with her. Another neighbour claims she heard a woman shouting at around about the same time.

While the search continues Marta’s friends have put a video showing photos of the missing teenager with friends on YouTube

Police search rivers for Missing Teen

DETECTIVES have taken DNA samples and a computer from the family of a missing teen in Sevilla.
Police also spent Monday and Tuesday combing the River Guadalquivir close to the home of 17-year-old Marta del Castillo Casanueva, who went missing two weeks ago.
Marta has not been seen since Saturday January 24 when she went out to visit friends.
Marta left home about 5pm and, according to a friend, had been dropped off back at her front door at 9.30pm.
Marta’s family say that they are sure she did not leave home voluntarily.
There have been some reports of Marta being seen at the door of the home, as if she was waiting for someone.
But her father Antonio said that if she had planned to go somewhere she would have taken her DNI identity card and keys.
At the weekend more than 2000 people gathered in the centre of Sevilla for a march for Marta. The only clue the police have is a report from a neighbour who says she heard a scream around the time of Marta’s disappearance.
Police are also investigating calls saying that Marta has been seen in Cádiz and Jerez.

Anyone with any information can call 655 81 96 47. (Spanish no.)

Sevilla continues to search for Missing Marta

Marta was last seen outside her home near the Santa Justa Station in the city two weeks ago on Saturday night

There was yet another large demonstration in Sevilla on Saturday as the city continues to show its concern for the missing 17 year old, Marta del Castillo.

She has now been gone for more than two weeks and still there is no sign or clue as to her whereabouts, and the police admit they have no clues in the case.

Friends and family have organized searches in all areas of the city and surroundings, although the banks of the Guadalquivir have seen most of the attention. Her Grandfather admitted it was desperate to think of the possibilities.

Even psychics have been offering their services and it seems many of them coincide in showing an isolated villa in the Mairena area.

(includes video-footage with her Grandfather being interviewed. He states that the Police believe she may be in the Rio Guadalquivir and the Grandfather states, he hopes that she is. Tragic for the family, they now just want her found)
